The MTI AcePick is a compact titanium pocket tool built around a retractable toothpick: slide its bolt-action mechanism and a 1.25-inch pick extends from one end, while a short cutter and pry blade sits at the other. New Atlas described it as a Kickstarter project in May 2024; that report gives campaign-era pricing, not proof of current availability.
How the AcePick works
New Atlas reported that the AcePick is made from sandblasted Grade 5 titanium. Its bolt-action mechanism extends and retracts the toothpick, which protrudes 1.25 inches (32 mm) when deployed. The article also mentions using the pick to remove a phone SIM tray or clear debris from crevices; these are suggested uses, not independently tested results. New Atlas, May 14, 2024
What else is built into it?
Short blade and pry tip
The opposite end has a short blade that can also serve as a pry tool. The New Atlas article describes it as suitable for opening boxes, cutting cord and stripping insulated wires. The blade is not replaceable, although the article says it may be sharpened as it dulls. No independent cutting, prying or durability tests are reported.
Keyring quick release
A built-in hole allows the tool to attach to a keyring; the article also mentions carrying it on a neck chain. Its spring-loaded quick-release mechanism detaches the tool while leaving the ring attachment behind.
