Reliable public sources connect Mark Wanner and KRÄM Construction & Design to Reed City and to custom-home building, but they do not independently document the specific “custom legacy farmhouse” named in this headline. The farmhouse’s owners, address, design, materials, construction dates and project history remain unconfirmed. What can be reported is Wanner’s documented business background and a separate KRÄM custom home at Lake Ann.
What is verified about Mark Wanner and KRÄM
A 2025 Traverse City Business News profile identifies Mark Wanner as the founder of KRÄM Construction & Design and says the company specializes mostly in custom-home projects. According to that profile, Wanner started his own construction company in 2003, initially handled smaller construction work and later developed a high-end custom-home design-build operation. The company hired an in-house architect in 2022 and consolidated earlier construction-related names under the KRÄM identity. The 2025 profile provides those business-history details.

Wanner described his approach in the same profile: “I’m never afraid to learn. I’m never afraid to fail,” he said. The statement is presented as a general business philosophy, not as a comment about the Reed City farmhouse.
The Reed City connection
The Home Builders Association of Michigan directory lists KRÄM Construction & Design at a Reed City address and names Mark Wanner as owner, principal or partner. That listing establishes the company’s Reed City business connection, but it does not identify a farmhouse project or provide a project address, client names, plans or photographs. The association directory entry is available here.

A 2023 Osceola County committee packet describes Wanner’s construction-industry experience and work in the greater Reed City area. The packet includes a résumé stating that he is a licensed builder. That is a claim contained in the county document; it should not be treated as a substitute for checking a current Michigan state license record. The May 11, 2023 committee packet contains the résumé and background material.
A separate Osceola County proposal print from July 25, 2023 identifies Wanner as CEO and owner of KRÄM Construction & Design in connection with a county EMS proposal. That document concerns public infrastructure, not the farmhouse. The proposal print is available from Osceola County.

What the documented Lake Ann home shows
The strongest public example of KRÄM’s residential work is a separate custom home built for Shawn and Terri Grady at Lake Ann. A MyNorth feature published October 21, 2024, says the homeowners contacted Wanner after delays with a previous builder. KRÄM presented an estimate and a nine-month schedule for that project. Construction began in July 2021.
The article describes substantial preconstruction coordination: the lot had a steep slope, equipment access had to be considered, boundaries needed to be checked and septic issues had to be addressed. It also reports that Wanner takes jobs within 100 miles of Reed City. Those details help explain the firm’s reported process and service area, but they do not establish that the Lake Ann design, schedule or site conditions apply to a Reed City farmhouse. Why the farmhouse cannot yet be described in detail
No reliable source located for this article identifies the titled home’s client, parcel, architectural style, floor plan, exterior or interior materials, construction dates, preservation history or completion status. There is also no published cost, energy-performance data or comparison with another design. Assigning any of those details to the project would turn information about a different home—or general company background—into an unsupported claim.
The phrase “legacy farmhouse” may describe the owner’s intention, a marketing label or an architectural style, but the available records do not establish which. Until a primary portfolio entry, owner interview, planning or permit record, or similarly authoritative project source appears, the title should be read as an unverified project description rather than a documented case study.

What would verify the project
A publishable account of the Reed City farmhouse would need project-specific evidence such as:
- a KRÄM portfolio page naming the project and location;
- an interview with Wanner or the homeowners confirming the builder and scope;
- building-permit, planning or property records that connect the project to the firm;
- dated photographs or plans tied to the same address; or
- a reputable local report that identifies the home and its sources.
Those records would allow the farmhouse to be distinguished from KRÄM’s Lake Ann work and would support accurate reporting on its design, schedule and construction choices.

Bottom line on the Reed City farmhouse
Mark Wanner is publicly associated with KRÄM Construction & Design, a Reed City-listed business focused largely on custom homes. Public coverage documents a separate KRÄM project at Lake Ann and describes the company’s approach to complex sites. It does not yet verify that KRÄM built a particular custom legacy farmhouse in Reed City, so no project-specific description can responsibly go further.
