The $18.1 million Greenfields clinic is complete and operating. Peel Community Mental Health Service and Kara Maar Specialist Community Eating Disorder Service moved into the facility at 50 Montsalvat Drive in March 2026, bringing two community-based services together near Mandurah.

Where is the Mandurah community mental health and eating disorder clinic?

The clinic is at 50 Montsalvat Drive, Greenfields. South Metropolitan Health Service lists this as the current location for Peel Community Mental Health Service. The services began operating from the new site in March 2026, following practical completion on 21 February 2026. The Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery’s completion announcement and the current service page provide the latest status and location information.

Which services operate from the facility?

The Greenfields clinic brings together two services with different roles and access criteria:

Service Purpose and care Who it serves
Peel Community Mental Health Service Assessment, acute intervention, ongoing clinical treatment, psychosocial support and specialised rehabilitation. For current catchment and referral information, consult the South Metropolitan Health Service page.
Kara Maar Specialist Community Eating Disorder Service Eating-disorder assessment and treatment, physical health monitoring, multidisciplinary outpatient care, nutrition and meal support, and work with individuals, families and carers. People aged 16 and over experiencing or showing signs of an eating disorder. Check the official service information for current eligibility and referral details.

The clinic provides community and outpatient services. It is distinct from the emergency and inpatient capacity planned as part of the wider New Mandurah Hospital project. The service page is the practical source for up-to-date access, catchment and referral guidance.

  • Two group therapy rooms

How the clinic fits into the New Mandurah Hospital project

The $18.1 million facility is part of the broader Peel Health Campus and New Mandurah Hospital project, but it is a completed community clinic in Greenfields—not the hospital’s emergency department or inpatient facilities. The Commonwealth’s Community Health and Hospitals Program funded the clinic, and the WA Government said SHAPE Australia was appointed to design and construct the fit-out. The project cost and delivery details were reported in the Government of Western Australia’s August 2025 construction announcement.

At the construction announcement, Health Infrastructure Minister John Carey described the aim as ensuring care is “close to home, compassionate and tailored to their needs.” That statement expressed the government’s intention; it is not a measured finding about patient outcomes.
