Yes—the Mammotion YUKA can collect leaves, but only with its optional rear sweeper attached, and that attachment comes with an important trade-off: the manual lowers the maximum slope rating from 45% (24°) to 18% (10%). In Notebookcheck’s test, the sweeper gathered most of the leaves, clippings and other debris it encountered. It is best understood as a seasonal cleanup aid for a lawn the mower can navigate, not a replacement for every kind of leaf removal.
How the YUKA collects leaves
The YUKA is a wire-free robotic mower with an optional rear sweeper. Its rubber roller gathers leaves, grass clippings and other lawn debris into a collector; Mammotion describes those uses on its YUKA feature page. In Notebookcheck’s hands-on test, most of the tested material entered the basket.
The basket does not simply trail behind as a passive bag: the reviewer reports that the mower lifted it to empty at deposit points set in the app. Those points need to be positioned a considerable distance from the lawn edge, according to the test. Check the exact product listing before buying: some configurations may be mower-only, while others may include the sweeper.
What the sweeper changes
Slope capability drops substantially
The YUKA User Manual V5.0 lists a maximum climbing ability of 45% (24°) without the sweeper and 18% (10°) with it. A steep section that the mower can handle on its own may therefore be unsuitable when the collector is fitted. The manual’s figures are maximum specifications, not a guarantee for every surface or condition. See the YUKA User Manual V5.0 for its model and operating details.
#1 Best Overall
- Application:for Mammotion YUKA Mini 2025.
- Charging Area Shelter:Creates a defined covered area for robotic mower and docking station. The open entrance provides convenient access for automatic departure and return while leaving the mower controls and charging area easy to reach.
- Sun And Light Rain Coverage:The curved overhead panel helps reduce direct sunlight reaching the mower and provides an added barrier against light rain, leaves, dust, and small garden debris. The sloped shape encourages water to move away from the center area.
- Light-Passing Roof Panel:The sheet provides overhead shade without creating a completely enclosed or dark storage space. Its lightweight construction is easier to position and assemble than many bulky outdoor mower sheds.
- Open And Ventilated Layout:The shelter does not fully enclose the mower, allowing air to circulate around the machine and charging base. The open-sided structure also makes routine inspection, cleaning, and mower removal more convenient.
Noise and snagging matter in a real garden
Notebookcheck measured almost 70 dB with the sweeper attached in its test. That is a review-specific measurement, not a manufacturer sound specification. The reviewer also reported that the collector caught on a swing and was nearly knocked off. Before using the attachment, check for low or overhanging garden furniture and other features it could catch on.
Will it fit your lawn?
The review tested a YUKA 1000 and describes YUKA 1000 and 2000 variants. It reports a 32 cm cutting width, two cutting discs with five blades each, a 20–90 mm manual cutting-height range and a 4.5 Ah battery for the models it discusses. These are review-reported specifications; model names and capacity figures vary across product generations and source documents.

- Compatible with LUBA mini 2 / YUKA mini 2 robot lawn mower models.
- Designed for ultimate durability, this weather-resistant enclosure ensures your mower remains in peak condition regardless of environmental exposure.
- The streamlined design allows for efficient installation and removal within 60 seconds, providing outstanding flexibility for storage and transportation needs.
Notebookcheck lists recommended areas of 1,000 m² for the YUKA 1000 and 2,000 m² for the YUKA 2000, while also describing design maximums of 1,600 m² and 2,800 m² respectively. These are different kinds of area figures, not interchangeable promises of suitable coverage. The YUKA User Manual V5.0 instead presents 1500 and 2000 versions: it lists maximum mowing sizes of 1,500 m² and 2,000 m², app storage capacities of 1,800 m² and 2,400 m², and maximum multi-zone management of 10 and 20 zones. Confirm the generation and exact regional model before comparing these numbers or choosing a mower.
In the review garden, a passage around 100 cm wide was needed in practice. The mower also left an uncut edge of roughly 10–11 cm where it could not drive over the boundary, such as beside a patio. Plan for separate edge trimming if a clean edge is important.

Mapping, obstacle detection and connectivity
The YUKA uses UltraSense AI Vision and RTK Fusion mapping, according to Notebookcheck, with two cameras and an optional RTK antenna in the setup it describes. The reviewer’s automatic AI mapping did not start successfully on the first attempt; manual mapping was needed, and a second attempt produced a satisfactory map. In that garden, the mower detected larger obstacles and most tested objects, but missed a tennis ball and a piece of hose even at high obstacle sensitivity. Those are observations from one test garden, not a guarantee of detection performance elsewhere.
Connectivity and positioning options depend on location and configuration. Notebookcheck says 2025 Mammotion mowers can use iNavi; Mammotion’s feature page says iNavi is accessible in Germany, with expansion planned. The EU product page describes NetRTK over 4G or Wi-Fi. Do not assume antenna-free operation or the same service availability in every country: check local coverage, connectivity requirements and the exact configuration on the Mammotion EU YUKA product page or the relevant regional store.

Battery and mowing figures from the test
Without the sweeper and using standard settings, Notebookcheck measured about 230 m² of mowing on one charge in just under two hours. Charging from 15% to 100% took a similar amount of time. The reviewer also reported standby consumption of around 10 W and estimated about 13 kWh per month for a scenario mowing 500 m² three times a week. The area-per-charge result is a test observation; the monthly electricity figure is a scenario-based estimate, not a universal consumption rate.

Prices and stock vary by country, date and package. Notebookcheck’s German-market review-era references were €1,399 RRP for the tested YUKA 1000, €1,749 RRP for the YUKA 2000 from Amazon.de, and €699 for the separate sweeper. Those are not current global prices. On 2026-10-08, the Mammotion EU product page displayed the YUKA 2000 at a sale price of €1,249 against a regular price of €1,699 and showed product configurations out of stock. - Confirm the model generation and whether its area figure is recommended capacity, maximum mowing area or app storage.
- Check whether the sweeper is included or sold separately, and confirm compatibility with the exact mower generation.
- Assess the steepest slopes with the attachment fitted, not just with the mower alone.
- Measure narrow passages and identify boundaries where the mower will leave an edge uncut.
- Check local RTK or iNavi availability and any required network connection.
- Inspect the yard for objects the collector could snag, especially low furniture or play equipment.
Who should consider the YUKA with sweeper?
The attachment is most relevant to buyers who want routine collection of leaves and clippings across an accessible lawn, can work within the lower slope limit when it is fitted, and are willing to check the garden for snag hazards. It is a less straightforward fit for steep lawns, tight passages, yards with many low obstacles, or owners who expect the robot to clean every edge and corner. The review’s findings support a useful additional cleanup function, not complete leaf removal under all conditions.
