For the 2026 edition, the official site says the main calls are closed:
- The Call for Makers is closed, although a waiting list is available for makers, startups and creative teams.
- The Call for Schools is closed.
- The Call for Universities and Research Institutes is closed.
Prospective makers should use the official waiting-list information rather than assuming that the ordinary application remains open. Schools, universities and research institutes should monitor the official site for future editions.

The 2026 school call originally listed June 15, 2026, at 11:59 CEST as its deadline, and a later notice extended the school-project deadline to June 30, 2026. The university and research-institute announcement listed June 15, 2026. Both deadlines have passed. The previous edition provides useful context, but its figures should not be treated as 2026 forecasts. Maker Faire Rome 2025 took place at the same Gazometro Ostiense venue. The Rome Chamber of Commerce reported more than 380 exhibition stands, 28 secondary schools with more than 200 projects and 20 universities with 92 projects.
