TxDOT’s reported schedule called for overnight closures of both Loop 1604 frontage roads at the I-10 interchange from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday through Monday, Oct. 9–12, 2026. Loop 1604 U-turns at the interchange were also scheduled to close during daytime hours on Saturday and Sunday, while flyover ramps were reported to remain open. The dates are underway; check current TxDOT information and posted signs before traveling because this is a dated schedule, not a live road-status update.

Eastbound frontage road: continue through or reach the eastbound mainlanes
- Keep right onto the eastbound I-10 frontage road.
- Make a U-turn at UTSA Boulevard.
- Follow the westbound I-10 frontage road.
- Keep right to return to the eastbound Loop 1604 frontage road.
Westbound frontage road
- Keep right onto the westbound I-10 frontage road.
- Make a U-turn at La Cantera Parkway.
- Take the eastbound I-10 frontage road.
- Keep right to return to the westbound Loop 1604 frontage road.

Reported turnaround route

Reported daytime alternative
During the daytime U-turn closures, the report gives this alternative: continue through the interchange, turn left onto the westbound I-10 frontage road, then turn left again onto the westbound Loop 1604 frontage road. Follow posted signs and current TxDOT directions, which take precedence if conditions or routing have changed.
