LG’s PuriCare AeroCatTower combines a multi-stage air purifier with a heated, dome-shaped cat perch. The appliance is designed to adjust its behavior when a cat is resting, and LG says its ThinQ app can track a cat’s weight and resting time. In other words, it is not simply a conventional purifier with a cushion added: it combines air cleaning, cat furniture, and limited pet monitoring in one appliance.

The AeroCatTower is built around a cat’s tendency to seek a warm, elevated resting place. The lower section houses the air-purifying hardware, while the upper section provides a dome-shaped seat. LG’s original IFA 2024 description presented the concept as a cat bed combined with an air purifier; later regional product pages use the name AeroCatTower.

That design gives the product a different appeal from a standard air purifier. A conventional purifier may occupy floor or table space without serving another purpose. The AeroCatTower is intended to become part of the cat’s normal resting area, while its sensors and app add features aimed specifically at pet owners.
A heated perch designed for cats
The dome seat provides a warm place for a cat to rest. LG’s Hong Kong product information describes two heat settings and a timer-based mode intended to maintain consistent warmth. It also describes a sensing-warmth mode that can activate heating when the cat is seated.
The Japanese product page gives example temperature settings of approximately 34 ± 1°C and 39 ± 1°C for its regional model. Because the product pages cover different markets, owners should check the specifications for the exact model available in their country rather than assuming every AeroCatTower has identical temperature controls.
The Japanese version also includes a removable step to help a cat reach the elevated seat. That may be useful for short-legged, older, or less agile cats, although no step can guarantee that a particular animal will use the perch safely or comfortably. The step can be removed when it is not wanted.
What happens when the cat sits down?
LG describes a cat-relax, or pet-sensitive, operating mode. The company says the purifier can reduce airflow or operate more quietly while the cat is using the seat, then increase airflow after the cat leaves.
This is primarily a comfort feature: a strong stream of air and operating noise may be less welcome when an animal is trying to sleep. It should not be interpreted as proof that the AeroCatTower purifies air better than a conventional purifier in every situation. Reducing airflow while the cat rests may also mean that the appliance is moving less air during that period.

ThinQ app features: useful trends, not veterinary diagnosis
LG says the ThinQ app can show changes in a cat’s weight and resting time. The Japanese product page says up to four cats can be managed in the app. LG also describes app controls for functions such as:
- Power and operating settings
- Airflow
- Heating
- Air-quality information
- Filter status
Weight and rest-time tracking could help an owner notice a change that deserves attention, particularly when used as a long-term trend rather than a single measurement. However, the app is not a veterinary diagnostic system. A change in weight, activity, appetite, or sleeping behavior should be discussed with a veterinarian rather than diagnosed from ThinQ data.
How LG says the air filtration works
The exact filtration description differs between regional pages:
- LG Japan describes a removable prefilter, a HEPA filter, and a photocatalytic deodorization filter.
- LG Hong Kong describes a HEPA13 filter and publishes manufacturer-reported results for specified bacteria, a viral surrogate, sodium-chloride particles, and fine particles.
LG positions the system for fine dust, pollen, allergens, pet hair, and pet odors. The Japanese information also includes controlled deodorization testing involving specified odor compounds and test conditions.
The careful interpretation is: LG says the AeroCatTower uses multi-stage filtration aimed at dust, allergens, fur, and odors. The reported figures are manufacturer claims, and some tests were conducted under controlled conditions. They are not the same as independent, real-home testing.

Maintenance is part of owning the appliance
The AeroCatTower’s combination of pet bedding and air filtration creates more surfaces to maintain than a basic purifier. LG’s U.S. support documentation, dated April 14, 2026, says owners should regularly clean the fine-dust filter, dust sensor, cat dome, and exterior of the cushion.
Filter and sensor care
LG’s guidance recommends gently vacuuming or brushing the fine-dust filter. The dust sensor lens can be wiped with a slightly damp cotton swab and then dried. Dust buildup can affect both cleanliness and the appliance’s ability to sense air conditions, so maintenance should follow the instructions for the particular regional model.
Cushion and dome care
The removable cushion cover should be hand-washed only, according to the support guidance. LG warns against machine-washing or machine-drying the cushion. The cat dome should not be washed with water. These restrictions matter because the seat is both a pet-resting surface and part of an electronic appliance.

Owners considering the AeroCatTower replacement filter should verify the exact model number before buying. A generic filter should not be assumed compatible simply because it has similar dimensions or a similar HEPA rating. The same caution applies to replacement cushion or cat-dome components: no universal retail SKU was verified in this research.
Where is the AeroCatTower available?
LG initially discussed the product in CES 2025 coverage without providing a confirmed price or release date at that time. LG regional pages have since documented AeroCatTower models in Japan and Hong Kong, and LG Taiwan has featured the product in its PuriCare lineup.

The AeroCatTower makes the most sense for a cat owner who wants several functions in one footprint:
- A dedicated elevated resting place for a cat
- Optional warmth at the resting area
- Air filtration intended for dust, particles, fur, and odors
- Quieter or reduced airflow while the cat is using the perch

It may be less suitable for someone who wants the highest possible air-cleaning performance without regard to pet furniture, or for a home where the cat will not use the perch. Alternatives to the combined design
