How much control do you get over drink size?
The original Jolie does not have a cup-size preset, according to Ideal Home’s independent review. You start dispensing and press the control again to stop it at your preferred amount. That allows you to choose the pour length in the moment, but it is not a programmable volume setting; you need to monitor each brew. Do not assume it automatically measures a consistent espresso or lungo.
Can the Jolie make cappuccinos or lattes?

How to clean and descale the Lavazza Jolie
Lavazza says limescale can reduce water flow or cause cold coffee. Its support guidance recommends descaling about every three months, and more often in hard-water areas. Follow the instructions for the exact machine and descaling product; Lavazza specifically says not to use vinegar.
- Unplug and cool the machine before cleaning. Lavazza’s instruction is: “Before cleaning the machine, it is essential to unplug the power cord from the power outlet socket and wait for the machine to cool down.”
- Clean only the parts identified as washable in the manual. The original Jolie has removable parts including the cup grid, drip tray, and water tank; follow the model’s instructions for handling them.
- Do not immerse the machine in water. Keep cleaning to the procedures and components specified by Lavazza.
- Descale periodically, adjusting for local water hardness. Use a suitable descaling product according to its directions and the machine manual; do not substitute vinegar.
Lavazza says repairs should be handled by authorized service centers.

Check the exact Jolie variant before buying
“Jolie” can refer to distinct models, including Jolie Plus and Jolie Evo. Their specifications should not be treated as interchangeable. For example, Lavazza’s Jolie Evo specification lists a two-minute automatic shutoff, while the original Jolie specification lists nine minutes.
