Start with the low-risk checks: confirm the outlet works, make sure the tank is seated correctly, and identify your exact Lacidoll model before cleaning or replacing parts. The J18 is a warm-and-cool-mist model; the J19 guidance here applies specifically to the LCDJSQ-J19 ultrasonic cool-mist humidifier. Their troubleshooting steps are not interchangeable.
Before troubleshooting: identify your model
Find the model number on the unit or its documentation, then use that model’s manual for cleaning, disassembly, and replacement parts. The steps below draw on Lacidoll’s J18 FAQ, LCDJSQ-J19 FAQ, and J19 manual; a fix listed for one model may not apply to another.
For electrical symptoms, begin with external checks. Do not open electrical components. Unplug the humidifier before cleaning, and stop using it if water reaches electrical parts.
Why doesn’t the display light up after turning on the power?
Check the outlet, tank, and water level
The J18 FAQ advises confirming that the power cord is connected to a working outlet, the supply voltage matches the unit’s rating, the water level is not too low, and the tank is installed correctly. If a J19 was wet during cleaning
The LCDJSQ-J19 manual says water entering the body during cleaning may prevent startup. Leave the unplugged unit in a well-ventilated place to air-dry for at least 24 hours, then retry. If it still will not start, contact Lacidoll support instead of opening the unit. LCDJSQ-J19 manual
Little or no mist comes out
J18: inspect water, atomizer plate, and outlet
The J18 FAQ identifies unclean water, a dirty atomizer plate, or a blocked mist outlet as possible causes. Unplug the unit, clean the plate as directed in the J18 manual, replace the water with clean water, and check the outlet for an obstruction. J19: check the humidity target
On the LCDJSQ-J19, automatic humidity control can stop misting when the room’s humidity is above the set target. Check the target and room conditions before treating the lack of mist as a fault. Why is the red light flashing?
The J18 and J19 FAQs both direct owners to check whether water is being pumped. Follow the instructions for your model to access the water area, then check whether the pump and water pipe are seated correctly. If water is not being pumped, reseat them as the manual allows. Why is there white powder, mineral scale, or an odor?
Reduce minerals and clean according to the manual
Lacidoll attributes white powder to minerals in tap water: “Tap water contains minerals that can adhere to objects.” Regular tank cleaning can help address deposits. For the J19 only, Lacidoll recommends replacing its filter cartridge every 30–40 water refills, more often in very hard water. Check that a cartridge is made for your precise model; the general parts catalog does not confirm fit for every humidifier.
J19 mineral-deposit cleaning
The J19 manual says to unplug the unit, soak mineral deposits in white vinegar for 20–30 minutes, scrub gently, and rinse thoroughly. Follow your own model’s manual before using vinegar or applying this method to another Lacidoll unit. Why is the floor wet or is there water around the humidifier?

- Place the unit on a firm, level, waterproof surface.
- Reduce mist output if the room is becoming too humid.
- Improve airflow around the unit and avoid placing it where condensation can collect.
- Stop using it if water reaches electrical parts.
The humidity reading seems wrong
For the LCDJSQ-J19, Lacidoll says a difference of 5–10 percentage points between the display and actual room humidity is within the normal range. This is J19-specific guidance, not a stated accuracy tolerance for every Lacidoll model. Abnormal noise on the J19
Lacidoll says a J19 may make abnormal noise when it has too little water or sits on an unstable surface. Check the water level and move it to a flat, stable location. Lacidoll J19 FAQ
A room that takes time to humidify
The J18 FAQ notes that room humidity may change slowly depending on room size, the environment, and the selected mist level. Those factors can affect how quickly you notice a change; the FAQ does not give a universal time for a room to reach a target. Lacidoll J18 FAQ

J18 warm mist feels cool
The J18 FAQ explains that mist cools after it leaves the unit. It suggests checking near the atomization plate; if the unit persistently fails to heat, contact customer service about a possible heating-plate fault.
