That does not mean every Krylon aerosol is suitable for every foam tombstone, so check the exact product and material before painting.
Which Krylon paint gives tombstones a stone-like finish?
Krylon Coarse Stone Textured Finish is the closest documented match. Krylon describes it as a textured paint that gives items the look of stone. Black Granite and Charcoal Sand are among its listed colors; either can suit a darker gravestone effect, depending on the look you want.
A Lowe’s customer review on a listing for Krylon Travertine Tan textured spray mentions using textured spray paint to make homemade Halloween tombstones. That is one customer’s account, not a product test or a guarantee of how the paint will perform on your project.
Can you use it on foam tombstones?
Krylon lists craft foam among the surfaces for Coarse Stone Textured Finish, alongside wood, metal, plastic, paper, wicker, glass, ceramic, papier-mâché, and plaster. The listing does not specify every type or formulation of foam, so confirm your tombstone’s material and follow the can’s directions. Do not assume that other Krylon spray paints share this surface compatibility.

How to plan your paint and application
Estimate the amount
Krylon lists coverage of 4–6 square feet per 12-ounce can. Treat that as a general product specification, not a tombstone-specific yield; the amount your project uses can vary with its shape and application.
Choose suitable conditions
For best results, Krylon specifies 55–75°F and humidity below 60%. Those are the manufacturer’s recommended conditions for this product.

Allow time for the finish to dry
Krylon lists 30 minutes to dry to the touch and 6 hours to dry enough to handle. Touch-dry does not mean ready to pick up or move; plan around the longer handling time.

Krylon describes Harmony as low-odor and for interior or exterior use in a well-ventilated area; its listed surfaces include masonry and concrete. For a foam tombstone where a stone texture is the goal, Coarse Stone is the more directly supported match.
