The KOHLER K-5724 is an elongated, manually operated bidet seat that Kohler currently lists in the United States as the PureWash M250; Kohler materials also associate the model with the Puretide name. It uses ambient-temperature water, with spray position and pressure adjusted by a side handle, and needs no batteries or electrical power. The manufacturer documents the features and dimensions, but not independent testing of comfort, long-term durability, or installation ease.
What is the KOHLER K-5724?
K-5724 is the model number to use when identifying this seat across product names and listings. Kohler’s current US product page calls it the PureWash M250, while Kohler specification materials also use the Puretide name. It is an elongated plastic toilet seat with a manual bidet wash, rather than a powered bidet.
Kohler lists a single wand for ambient-water cleansing. A side handle lets the user adjust spray position and pressure, and the wand rinses automatically after use. The handle is manual; Kohler’s specification says it “requires no batteries or electrical power.” These are manufacturer-listed functions, not independent performance findings.
What features does Kohler list?
- Manual wash control: A side handle adjusts spray position and pressure.
- Ambient-water cleansing: Product materials do not list heated water for this model.
- Automatic wand rinse: Kohler says the wand rinses after use.
- Quiet-Close seat and lid: Listed by Kohler as a feature.
- Quick-Release: The seat can be removed for cleaning, according to Kohler.
- Quick-Attach mounting hardware and Grip-Tight bumpers: Listed in the product materials.
- Ergonomically contoured seat: A manufacturer description; it does not establish how comfortable it will feel to a particular user.
Fit, dimensions, and water connection
Kohler describes the K-5724 as fitting most elongated toilets, not every elongated toilet. Its Studio KOHLER listing gives overall dimensions of 7/8 inch high × 17-3/4 inches wide × 19-3/8 inches long. Check your bowl shape and available space against those dimensions before ordering; the word “most” is not a guarantee of fit for a specific toilet.

The US/Canada specification sheet says connection to the toilet’s water supply is required and that hoses and connections are included. Check that your toilet’s supply arrangement and installation space are compatible, and review the current instructions for the exact connection requirements. Included connections do not guarantee that installation will be straightforward in every bathroom.
What the K-5724 does not provide
The K-5724 is manual and uses ambient water. Kohler’s cited materials do not list a heated seat, warm-water cleansing, dryer, remote control, or other powered functions for this model. If those features matter, compare electric bidet seats rather than assuming they are included. Kohler’s comparison document distinguishes the manual K-5724 from electric models, including the PureWash E750 K-4108.

The K-5724 is worth considering if you want a manual bidet seat, prefer not to rely on an electrical outlet or batteries, and have an elongated toilet that can accommodate the seat and water connection. It is a less suitable match if you specifically want heated water, a heated seat, or other powered features.
