Kingsford says the briquets contain no alcohol. The announcement described nationwide retail availability while supplies lasted, but it does not confirm that Beercoal is still in stores today.
What is Kingsford x Miller Lite Beercoal?
Beercoal is a branded collaboration between Kingsford and Miller Lite. It is not simply regular charcoal sold alongside beer: Kingsford says Miller Lite beer is used in making the briquets. The brands have not established a verified flavor result or a cooking-performance advantage over conventional charcoal.

Kingsford’s product page says the briquets are ready in about 15 minutes. That is the manufacturer’s stated timing, not an independently verified test result. The same page says Beercoal is made in the USA with global ingredients. See Kingsford’s Beercoal product information.
Does Beercoal contain alcohol?
No. Kingsford explicitly says Beercoal does not contain alcohol. Miller Lite is part of the briquets’ ingredient story, but the finished charcoal is not an alcoholic product. Kingsford’s product page provides the manufacturer’s statement.

Is Beercoal back, and where can you buy it?
The Clorox Company announced Beercoal’s return on May 15, 2025, describing nationwide retailer availability for a limited time and while supplies lasted. That announcement records the release terms at the time; it does not establish current store inventory or an active online listing. Check with retailers for present availability rather than assuming the product remains on shelves. Read The Clorox Company’s May 15, 2025 announcement.
The original 2022 launch was described by Molson Coors as a four-pound pack with an $11.99 suggested retail price, plus shipping. Those details applied to that launch and should not be treated as the package size or price for the 2025 return. Molson Coors’ 2022 announcement contains the historical specifications.

Why did the brands bring it back?
In its May 20, 2025 company blog, The Clorox Company reported that “Miller Lite buyers are nearly four times more likely to buy charcoal than non-buyers.” The available page text does not explain the sample or research method, so the figure is best understood as a company-reported statistic rather than an independently validated finding. The Clorox Company’s May 20, 2025 blog gives the claim.
