Architectural Digest reported in October 2024 that Kevin Hart’s primary residence is in Calabasas, California. The report describes a custom-built Spanish-villa-style home and a separate neighboring property he reportedly bought in 2021. This is a dated account, not confirmation of Hart’s real-time whereabouts or current property ownership.
Where is Kevin Hart’s reported primary home?
Architectural Digest’s October 25, 2024 report places Hart’s primary residence in Calabasas, California, where it says he moved in 2018. The publication describes a custom-built Spanish-villa-style house on a 26-acre plot, measuring about 9,500 square feet, with an approximate reported cost of $5 million. These are the article’s reported figures, not a current valuation or independently verified property record. Architectural Digest’s account says the home was never listed and that its interior details draw in part on Hart’s social-media posts.
Design and outdoor features
The report notes family and recreation spaces including a playground, pool, volleyball court, indoor-outdoor gym, covered patio, outdoor kitchen, and pool spa with a waterfall. Hart’s preference for modern design and glass is documented separately: during a 2023 Architectural Digest tour of his Hollywood office, he said, “I want open spaces. I want a lot of glass.” That office-tour comment should not be read as a statement specifically about the Calabasas home.
What is known about the neighboring Calabasas property?
Architectural Digest reports that Hart bought a neighboring property in 2021 for $7 million. Its 2024 account describes a 16-acre plot and a 9,349-square-foot house with six bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a pool, tennis court, putting green, koi pond, wine cellar, guesthouse, and poolside casita. The article said Hart still owned the property at the time of publication; that does not establish ownership in 2026.

Why Tarzana is part of the story
Tarzana, California, was Hart’s former home, not the answer to where he was reported to live in Architectural Digest’s 2024 account. He bought the two-story house in 2012 for $1.99 million and sold it in 2019 for $2.75 million. The Los Angeles Times reported the sale on September 10, 2019, and noted that the property was then being offered for $3.392 million; that was a later asking price, not Hart’s sale proceeds or a current value.
Rank #2
The Los Angeles Times described the Tarzana residence as 6,549 square feet, with seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, on a nearly half-acre lot. Architectural Digest’s retrospective also mentioned a waterfall pool, covered dining patio, and outdoor barbecue kitchen. The Los Angeles Times’ 2019 report provides contemporaneous transaction context. A 2014 GQ profile also described Hart’s Tarzana house, but it is historical context rather than evidence of his present residence.
