The report attributes the revised target to Toscano, speaking at the Saudi Mega Projects 2026 summit in Riyadh. It does not identify a revised contractual baseline or say when the tower will open to residents, hotel guests or visitors.
Toscano cited rising procurement and construction costs as pressures affecting contractors on major projects in Saudi Arabia and the wider region. What is Jeddah Tower, and what is planned for it?
Jeddah Tower is under construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as the centrepiece of Jeddah Economic City, a mixed-use development in North Obhur. Its design is planned to exceed 1,000 metres. Thornton Tomasetti, which provides structural design services to Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, reported in April 2026 that the building had passed 100 floors and 400 metres. Gulf Business describes plans for a Four Seasons hotel, residences, office space and an observation deck. These are planned components, not confirmation of current bookings, opening dates or public access.
