To find out whether your Samsung washer is still under warranty, sign in to the Samsung Account associated with it and check My Products. The product record shows the washer’s warranty details; if the date looks wrong or the washer is missing, Samsung’s registration and validation tools let you update the record using product information and proof of purchase.
Check your washer’s warranty status in your Samsung Account
- Sign in to the Samsung Account associated with the washer and open My Products. Review the listed washer’s product details and warranty status. Samsung says connected SmartThings appliances can be registered automatically. Samsung product registration and warranty validation
- If the washer is not listed, register it using the requested product details. Use the model code and serial number from the washer’s label or product information, and follow Samsung’s product-label locator guidance if you need help finding them. Some products require both identifiers.
- If the expiration date appears incorrect, open the product details and choose the warranty validation or review option. Samsung asks for the approximate purchase date and an image of the receipt: “Please provide a photo of your receipt and the approximate date of purchase for review.”
Samsung says proof of purchase must show the retailer’s identity, purchase date, product identity, itemized pricing, and paid total. Keep the receipt and delivery paperwork in case you need to verify when coverage began.
What determines how long the washer is covered?
There is no single expiration date that applies to every Samsung washer. The coverage record and the warranty terms for the washer’s model are the useful references. Samsung’s U.S. home-appliance terms say the limited warranty begins when the product is delivered to the original consumer purchaser and applies only to products purchased and used in the United States. - Model: Warranty coverage can differ by washer model and component.
- Purchase and delivery details: The original purchase date and delivery to the first consumer purchaser matter; retain dated documentation.
- Location: The cited terms are for products purchased and used in the United States.
- Other coverage: A separately purchased retailer plan or a qualifying promotion may extend protection, but its administrator and terms may differ from Samsung’s manufacturer warranty.
Understand the 2026 Samsung washer warranty statements
Samsung’s U.S. warranty page lists a 10-year limited warranty for the Digital Inverter Motor on washers purchased on or after April 1, 2026. Samsung requires a receipt showing the purchase date for a claim, and restrictions apply. This is motor coverage; it does not mean the entire washer, every component, or every repair is covered for 10 years. Check the terms for the specific model. Samsung Home Appliance warranty

The same Samsung page describes a one-year extension offer for eligible appliances, including washers, bought at participating retailers from July 9 through December 31, 2026. The offer has eligibility requirements, deadlines, and documentation requirements, including a valid online claim. Check Samsung’s current offer terms before relying on it; the promotion is separate from the standard warranty record.
If the washer needs service
Open the washer’s product details in Samsung Account and use its support options to request service. Samsung also provides model-specific routes through its U.S. washer support page.

Before opening a claim, check the records for each coverage source. Compare who administers it and where to file, the start and end dates, what parts and labor or failure types are covered, any service method or fees, and which purchase documents are required. The applicable Samsung model terms and retailer-plan documents—not the mere existence of two records—determine how a repair is handled.
