The “$7 million” figure in the headline comes from ¡HOLA!’s 2022 account; Architectural Digest and Realtor.com later reported that Lawrence bought the house in 2014 for about $8.2 million. Realtor.com subsequently reported an $11 million off-market sale in September 2025 and an $11.5 million relisting in April 2026. That listing report does not establish whether the home is available now.
Why the reported price is not settled at $7 million
¡HOLA!’s account, updated March 9, 2022, gave the purchase price as $7 million. Architectural Digest’s January 2026 overview and Realtor.com’s September 2025 report put the 2014 purchase at about $8.2 million. The available reports do not explain the discrepancy, so the $7 million figure should be treated as one published account rather than a confirmed final price.
Realtor.com reported that the property sold off-market for $11 million in September 2025, after an original asking price of $7.9 million. Its April 2026 article then reported a relisting at $11.5 million. These are reported transaction and listing figures, not an independent valuation or evidence of profit; costs, fees, taxes, renovations, and other relevant details are not established.
A reported tour of the house and grounds

Kitchen and dining
The reported listing description names a La Cornue range, a built-in Miele coffee system, and a Carrara marble island. It says the kitchen opens to a formal dining area, while a breakfast nook sits beside windows with access to the backyard. These are details in the later listing account; they do not establish who chose or owns the appliances.
Bedrooms and room counts
The reports agree on five bedrooms in their general descriptions, but published bathroom counts vary. Architectural Digest gives five and a half bathrooms; Realtor.com’s 2026 listing report gives six; and ¡HOLA! gives seven. Architectural Digest says Lawrence renovated the house, including converting two bedrooms into a dressing and glam room and a separate living space. Realtor.com’s 2025 account says an earlier listing marketed four bedrooms after two rooms had been converted into a dressing room and sitting area. The differences may reflect how rooms were configured or counted in different reports; they do not establish one definitive current count.

What is known about Lawrence’s connection to the property
Architectural Digest reports that the house was built in 1991 and had previously belonged to Jessica Simpson and Ellen DeGeneres. It describes Lawrence’s renovations as including new marble and hardwood floors. Realtor.com says property records suggest the purchase may have been intended as a California base for Lawrence’s parents, while noting that it is unclear whether she lived in the house. Ownership alone does not establish that it was her primary residence.
Realtor.com’s 2026 account says the later listing described the residence as beautifully renovated and credited AD100 firm Clements Design. That is the listing’s reported wording, not direct confirmation from the firm or a named designer.
