Dwayne Johnson’s former Georgia property was more than a farmhouse: it was a reported 46-acre equestrian estate in Powder Springs, outside Atlanta, with a French country manor-style main house, a 12-stall barn and a riding arena. Architectural Digest reported that Johnson bought it for about $9.5 million in 2019. Realtor.com later reported that it sold for $6.1 million in September 2025.
Where was Dwayne Johnson’s Georgia farmhouse?
The estate was in Powder Springs, Georgia, west of Atlanta. Architectural Digest described it as a 46-acre property in its November 2019 coverage; Cowboys & Indians reported 46.3 acres that same year. The different figures reflect published descriptions, not a precise independently verified survey.
It is often called a farmhouse, but that shorthand misses the scale and purpose of the property. Reports describe a substantial private estate with equestrian facilities, pastureland and several other buildings, rather than a single rural house.
What was the main house like?
The main residence was reported at 14,791 square feet, with eight bedrooms, by Architectural Digest and Cowboys & Indians in 2019. Architectural Digest described French manor styling, while contemporary coverage highlighted walnut floors, exposed beams, stone fireplaces, marble bathrooms and a kitchen with an island.

Published specifications are not completely consistent. Realtor.com’s January 2021 feature rounded the house to 15,000 square feet and listed eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Cowboys & Indians’ 2019 listing-based report gave six full and three half baths. Those bathroom counts should be treated as outlet-reported descriptions, not a single settled specification.
What was on the estate beyond the house?
The grounds were designed to support horse keeping and outdoor use as well as residential living. Architectural Digest reported a 12-stall barn and riding arena. Other contemporary accounts describe pastures and a hay barn, plus a pool with a pool house or pavilion.
Rank #2
- Equestrian facilities: a 12-stall barn and riding arena, according to Architectural Digest’s 2019 report.
- Additional buildings: reports mention a log cabin and a caretaker farmhouse. Cowboys & Indians dated the farmhouse to 1867.
- Outdoor amenities: coverage noted a pool and pool house or pavilion, alongside pastureland.
The historic farmhouse was one of the estate’s outbuildings; the reporting does not establish that it was Johnson’s residence.
How much did Johnson pay, and what happened when it sold?
Realtor.com’s September 2025 retrospective reported that Johnson bought the estate in October 2019 for $9.49 million. Architectural Digest rounded the purchase figure to $9.5 million. That purchase price is distinct from the $9.75 million asking price cited in Cowboys & Indians’ 2019 listing-based coverage.
Rank #3
| Date | Reported price | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| October 2019 | $9.49 million | Reported purchase price, according to Realtor.com’s 2025 account. |
| 2019 | $9.75 million | Asking price reported by Cowboys & Indians; not the confirmed purchase price. |
| January 2021 | $7.5 million | Initial asking price, according to Realtor.com. |
| August 2025 | $6.95 million | Relisting price, according to Realtor.com. |
| September 19, 2025 | $6.1 million | Reported sale price, according to Realtor.com. |
Realtor.com reported that the 2021 listing was withdrawn after about 10 months, then the property returned to market in August 2025 and sold the following month. The reported sale price was $3.39 million below the reported 2019 purchase price in nominal terms. That difference alone does not establish Johnson’s net financial result: it does not account for transaction costs, improvements, taxes or other terms.

Public reporting does not establish how regularly Johnson used the estate while he owned it. Realtor.com said his personal use was unclear, so it is more accurate to describe the property as his former estate than as his established home.
