Understand what the “up to six times” statement means
DEWALT’s DCB612 product page compares the 12Ah pack with the named 1.5Ah DCB201 battery in 20V MAX tools and uses the phrase “up to 6x the runtime.” Keep all of those qualifications with the number: it is a manufacturer comparison, it has a specific comparator, and “up to” describes a maximum claim rather than a result every owner will receive. It should not be converted into a fixed number of hours for your saw, grinder, drill or other tool.
How to select a higher-capacity pack without creating a compatibility problem
Identify the exact tool model first
- Read the model designation on the tool housing, nameplate or manual.
