Does the estimate include the whole appointment?
Ask the contractor what the quoted duration covers. An estimate may refer to hands-on installation rather than the full time between arrival and departure. Clarify whether the schedule includes:
- Draining and disconnecting the old heater
- Removing and disposing of the old unit
- Installing and connecting the replacement
- Any needed utility, piping, or venting upgrades
- Permit coordination, inspection, and cleanup
