Its website says “NOW OPEN” and lists apartments, tours and applications. The available sources do not confirm a ceremonial grand-opening date or ribbon-cutting, so the opening is best understood as the community being open to residents—not a verified event.
Where Grand Central Suites is and what it includes
The eight-story development is at 21 Central Street, Manchester, NH 03833. The property’s current website describes 77 apartment homes: 43 one-bedroom and 34 two-bedroom units, alongside approximately 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Grand Central Suites’ homepage presents those figures as the current property description.

Avatar Construction’s portfolio gives a different unit breakdown—42 one-bedroom and 35 two-bedroom apartments—and lists 1,700 square feet of retail. It also describes a $25 million project on two lots totaling 11,400 square feet, with 79,215 square feet of finished space. Those are developer-published figures; the sources do not explain the discrepancy in unit mix or retail area. Avatar’s project page has the portfolio details.

Avatar said construction was underway in a January 2024 announcement, which described the project as a 77-unit complex. In November 2025, a later announcement projected that the first residents would arrive in early 2026. The property now identifies itself as open, and its leasing page lists residences and ways to tour or apply. The earlier forecast should not be mistaken for a confirmed opening date. The sources reviewed establish that the apartments are open and being leased, but do not report a formal grand-opening ceremony, ribbon-cutting or exact opening day. In the 2024 announcement, developer Nazar Vincent said, “We are excited to present Grand Central Suites to the community.” The same release described the project as part of a series intended to contribute to downtown Manchester’s growth; that is the developer’s stated aim, not an independently measured impact.
Construction details and features
Avatar’s portfolio describes a steel-and-concrete podium with wood-panel construction above, using a Hambro system with open bar joists. A January 2026 report by the New England Real Estate Journal attributed additional construction descriptions to the property manager: Type I-A fire-resistive construction, concrete and steel throughout, no wood framing, concrete floors and heavy-gauge six-inch metal-stud interior walls. These are published project descriptions, not an independent inspection or verification of permits and construction records. How to check apartments, rents and tours
Rents, available apartments and move-in dates can change. The property’s live availability page lists apartment types, rents and availability dates, and offers options to schedule a tour, apply or join a waitlist if no suitable unit is listed. Before applying, compare the specific apartment’s floor plan, current rent, square footage, move-in date, parking arrangements and pet terms; confirm details directly with leasing staff.
