What was reported about the purchase?
The couple were reported to have paid $2.6 million in November 2024. The Real Deal said the price had been reported by the New York Post. These are media reports, not a deed or other primary transaction record reviewed here, so the figure should be understood as a reported sale price rather than independently verified public-record data.
The reported sellers were author Julie Satow and Stuart Elliott. According to the coverage, they bought a 1940s cottage on the site for $600,000 in 2016, then replaced it with the custom-built house. The sale was reported as off-market: The Real Deal described Corcoran agent Sheri Winter Parker as having the “whisper listing,” while Realtor.com identified her as the listing broker. The reports said the sellers declined to comment.

What is—and isn’t—confirmed?
The available accounts establish the reported location, sale price and property details through November 2024 coverage. They do not establish the exact street address, provide a reviewed deed or tax record, or verify who owns the property now. The purchase should therefore be described as reported in 2024, not as confirmation of current ownership.
