It may suit a workspace that needs a sturdy, large-format desk, but its substantial weight and more involved assembly are worth factoring in. Here’s what the specifications and independent review establish, and what to check before ordering.
What is the FlexiSpot E7 Plus?
The E7 Plus is an electric sit-stand desk built around a four-leg frame. FlexiSpot’s US product page describes it as a dual-motor design: the legs are linked by connecting rods, rather than each leg having its own motor. That distinction matters if you are comparing it with a quad-motor desk. FlexiSpot’s US product page describes the current configurations and specifications.
Tom’s Guide reviewer Anthony Spadafora characterized it as a highly customizable desk and wrote: “The FlexiSpot E7 Plus is a rock-solid, electric standing desk that can accommodate some seriously heavy workloads.” That is his assessment, not a guarantee of performance in every workspace. FlexiSpot’s US page lists the following specifications. Check the selected frame and desktop configuration before ordering, since the desk is sold in configurable combinations.

The 440 lb figure is the listed lifting limit; the 540 lb figure is static capacity, not the powered lifting limit. Avoid treating the larger number as the amount the motors are rated to raise. These are manufacturer specifications for the US listing, not an independent load test.
Will it fit your workspace?
Start with the footprint, not just the desktop’s advertised length. Measure the available floor space, check the frame-width range against your chosen top, and account for walls, cabinets, monitor arms and other items around the desk. The listed desktop range is broad, but that does not mean every top fits every room or frame setup.

FlexiSpot’s US page shows desktop options in materials including chipboard, bamboo, rubberwood and solid wood variants. The available choices can change, so confirm the material, size, selected frame and final configured price on the product page. Its listed keypad has four height presets and USB charging; verify that the keypad and features match the bundle you select.
The manufacturer lists compatibility with monitor mounts, under-desk drawers and keyboard trays. These are setup options, not items to assume are included. Check the selected desktop’s dimensions and the accessory’s mounting requirements before buying, especially if you need space for a standing desk monitor arm or an under-desk drawer.

How does it perform, and what are the tradeoffs?
Spadafora reported that the desk remained steady when he shook it at maximum height. He also measured movement at 54 dB and described the assembled weight as 130–140 lb depending on the desktop. Those figures and observations belong to his review unit and conditions; they are not manufacturer guarantees or results from a universal test.
The four-leg frame and high stated capacity come with a more involved build than some two-leg desks. The reviewer found assembly more complicated than on two-leg models he had tested and recommended having another person help because of the desk’s weight. He also reported that the desktop holes on his review unit were not pre-drilled as he expected. That is a unit-specific observation, not evidence that all E7 Plus desktops arrive without holes.

FlexiSpot separately says it conducted 10,000 lift tests comparing a water glass on the E7 Plus and a two-legged competitor. This is the manufacturer’s description of its own testing; the page does not identify the competitor or provide independent validation. Treat it as a company claim, not an independent comparative result.

What warranty applies?
Warranty coverage depends on where you buy the desk and which component is involved. FlexiSpot’s US page lists 15 years for the electric standing desk frame, motor and mechanisms, and 15 years for controller and switch electronics. It lists desktop coverage separately: two years for chipboard, two years for solidwood texture and five years for solidwood. The page says its limited warranty applies to the original purchaser buying from an authorized retailer or reseller. Confirm the terms for your specific selected top and purchase channel on the US product page.
FlexiSpot’s UK warranty index places the E7 Plus under a five-year warranty grouping. That differs from the coverage shown in the consulted US materials; do not assume either region’s terms apply elsewhere. Check the relevant local warranty for the product, components and seller.
