What is E8000 glue?
E8000 is a product name used for clear adhesives marketed for bonding different materials. Zhanlida describes its named product, Zhanlida E8000 Clear Contact Adhesive, as flexible and suitable for mixed-material bonding, screens, electronics, and jewelry. Its product description also lists bamboo, wood, cloth, leather, stone, and electronic components. These are the manufacturer’s stated uses, not a guarantee that the adhesive suits every finish, device, or repair.
Retailer listings make broader compatibility claims. For example, iPhoneHospital’s E8000 listing describes uses involving metal, glass, ceramic, wood, fabric, leather, plastics, rubber, paper, and rhinestones, and recommends testing a small area for broad applications. Treat such statements as retailer information rather than independent testing. If the material or finish matters, verify compatibility with the exact product label and test discreetly where appropriate.
Is E8000 suitable for phone screen repair?
Zhanlida and retailers market E8000 for screens and electronics, but that does not establish that it is right for every phone or screen assembly. A repair may involve different frame materials, coatings, seals, or components, and excess adhesive can cause problems. Star Trade specifically cautions against allowing adhesive to overflow into a circuit-board area in its E8000 product listing.

How long does E8000 take to cure?
Cure times vary among product pages. Zhanlida lists “Quick Curing 4-6 min” and full curing in 24–48 hours. iPhoneHospital gives a 3–6 minute tack wait and up to 48 hours for optimal strength; SCCCLTD gives a 3–5 minute wait before pressing parts together and 48 hours for full cure. These figures are from separate product listings, not a single standardized specification.
In practical terms, distinguish the short wait before joining parts from the longer period needed for a full cure. Use the directions for your tube rather than averaging the published times. The cited pages do not quantify how temperature, material, or application thickness changes cure time.

Handling and safety
Safety directions can differ by product. SCCCLTD warns that its adhesive may irritate skin and eyes, recommends ventilation, says to keep it away from fire during use, and advises keeping it out of children’s reach. It says to rinse eyes thoroughly with water after contact. Star Trade also advises ventilation, warns about skin and eye irritation, and says to keep the product away from children and ignition sources.
- Read the label and current safety data sheet (SDS) for the exact product and market.
- Use the ventilation and protective-handling precautions stated for that product, and avoid skin and eye contact.
- Follow the product’s directions on children and ignition sources; keep the tube secured when not in use.
- If adhesive gets in the eyes, follow the product’s first-aid instructions. SCCCLTD’s listing advises thorough rinsing with water.
A search-result SDS identifies E8000 among several model numbers in a mobile-phone-repair-glue product family and names Guangdong Zhanlida New Material Co., Ltd. as manufacturer. That family listing does not show that the document applies to every product sold under the E8000 name. Do not infer a universal chemical composition or describe all E8000 glue as non-toxic from the product name alone.
