Which project could the early-2027 claim refer to?
Dar Global has announced multiple Trump-branded projects. Their locations, scopes and reported milestones differ, so dates should not be transferred from one development to another.

What Dar Global has said about the Dubai tower
The Dubai project was launched by Dar Global and The Trump Organization in April 2025 as a hotel, residences and private members’ club. The launch announcement established the project and its intended uses, not a construction start date.
In an August 2026 update, Dar Global said enabling works were due to be completed in September 2026 and reported a podium construction contract as the project moved into its next stage. Enabling works and a contract award are construction milestones, but neither means that the project’s first construction activity is scheduled for early 2027. The update does not support that interpretation.

How to read the dates and milestones
Construction announcements often refer to different points in a project’s delivery. Treating them as interchangeable can make a completion target look like a start date, or a later work package look like the beginning of construction.
- Enabling works: preparatory work that precedes or supports later construction. A forecast completion date for this work is not, by itself, a date for the project’s first construction start.
- Contract award: an appointment or agreement for a defined package of work. Dar Global’s Dubai update identifies a podium contract as the next stage; it does not call that milestone the start of all construction.
- Under construction: Dar Global used this status for Trump Tower Jeddah in its FY2025 results announcement. That status does not identify an early-2027 start.
- Completion target: the same results announcement gave Q4 2027 as the Jeddah tower’s stated target for completion—not its construction start.

Wadi Safar
Dar Al Arkan, Dar Global and The Trump Organization announced Trump International, Wadi Safar, on January 11, 2026. The planned destination includes a golf course, hotel and residences in Wadi Safar, within the Diriyah masterplan. The announcement specifies a 2.6 million-square-metre site but does not provide an early-2027 construction date. Dar Al Arkan chairman Yousef Al Shelash described it as a vision to deliver “a destination that captures the prestige and the legacy of the Trump brand”; this is the company-announcement quote, not an independent assessment.
