Cupix is positioning CupixWorks as a platform for the full asset lifecycle, not just construction documentation. The direction, branded “Enterprise Spatial Intelligence,” connects reality-capture records with project and asset information so teams can carry a facility’s construction history into operations. CupixWorks 5.0 was described as upcoming by AEC Magazine on October 5, 2026; the available information does not establish that it is generally available.
What Cupix is changing
The shift is from recording what was built to linking that spatial record with information used to plan, deliver and maintain a facility. AEC Magazine reports that CupixWorks 5.0 is intended to bring together 360-degree video, drone imagery and laser scans with BIM, project data, schedules and enterprise asset-management information.
The report names Autodesk Forma, Procore and Revizto for project data; Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud for schedules; and SAP, IFS and IBM Maximo for asset management. These are reported integration ambitions for 5.0, not confirmation that every connection is available today. Cupix’s current platform page separately describes unifying reality data—including 360-degree-video-derived maps, laser scans and drone imagery—with BIM, and lists integrations including Autodesk products, Procore, Revizto, Oracle and ArcGIS.
Why connect the records?
With spatial records and project or asset data connected, teams could compare actual site conditions with design intent and schedules, identify deviations, and retain construction history for maintenance and renovation. AEC Magazine presents these as intended uses; the sources do not provide independent results showing how well the new version performs them.

The initial environments identified in the report are hyperscale data centers, pharmaceutical laboratories, semiconductor fabrication plants, airports and hospitals—facilities where a persistent record of complex spaces and assets may be valuable.
What Cupix already describes as available
Cupix’s product page describes turning 360-degree video into detailed 3D models, tracking spatial change over time, taking measurements, and collaborating with BIM data, notes and issue tracking. It also presents frequent video walks as a way to maintain a 4D site record. SiteInsights is listed as an add-on for analyzing completion rates across work areas, trades and BIM categories. These capabilities help explain the foundation for the operations direction, but they do not establish that all proposed 5.0 functions are already available.

For government property and facilities, Cupix describes using 360-degree captures to measure and document spaces, tagging assets at precise locations in a digital model, and making virtual site visits to locate and verify asset conditions. Its customer-story index lists a Coquitlam facilities asset-management case study dated September 19, 2024. - Capture inputs and effort: Which spaces need 360-degree walkthroughs, drone imagery or laser scans, and how often must they be recaptured?
- Project context: Can the spatial record be connected to the specific BIM models, schedule data and project systems the team uses?
- Asset-management fit: Does the planned connection work with the owner’s existing asset-management system and its asset identifiers and records?
- Handover and maintenance: Can operations staff use construction records to locate assets, verify conditions and support maintenance or renovation tasks?
- Ongoing accuracy: How will teams identify changes and keep the model aligned with actual facility conditions?
The available material describes Cupix’s direction, but does not offer a neutral comparison with competing platforms or enough evidence to rank alternatives. Teams should validate release status, integration scope and operational workflows against their own requirements before treating the proposed capabilities as part of a live deployment.
