Cuisinart’s CMW-200 is the model that matches a search for a Cuisinart convection microwave, but Cuisinart marks it discontinued and out of stock. Its official listing documents microwave, convection, and grill functions; it does not establish current retailer stock or independent performance rankings. If you are considering one, treat it as a legacy appliance and verify the unit’s condition, included accessories, parts compatibility, return terms, and warranty before buying.
Is a Cuisinart convection microwave still available?
As of October 8, 2026, Cuisinart’s CMW-200 product page labels the model “Discontinued” and “Out Of Stock.” That establishes its status on the manufacturer’s site, not whether a particular retailer or resale seller has a unit. Cuisinart’s official material reviewed here does not confirm another currently sold Cuisinart convection microwave.
The CMW-200 is therefore best understood as a legacy model to assess if you find one, rather than a current Cuisinart best buy. A listing should identify the exact model and whether the appliance is new, used, refurbished, or sold for parts. Ask what accessories are included, inspect the unit if possible, and read the seller’s return and warranty terms before committing.
What the Cuisinart CMW-200 offers
Cuisinart lists a 1.2-cubic-foot capacity, 1000-watt microwave output, a 12-inch rotating glass tray, and external dimensions of 21.2 inches wide, 19 inches deep, and 12.2 inches high. The page gives those specifications without a publication date. Measure your counter and check required clearances against the appliance documentation and the specific unit before installation.

How its microwave, convection, and grill modes differ
Microwave cooking
The microwave function provides the familiar rapid heating and reheating mode, with 1000 watts of listed output. Capacity and tray size matter when deciding whether a dish will fit, but the listed 1.2 cubic feet does not by itself establish the usable dimensions of the cooking space.

Convection bake and roast
Convection adds oven-style baking and roasting functions. Cuisinart’s CMW-200 Classic Apple Pie recipe instructs users to preheat to 350°F on the convection setting and bake on the grill rack for 40 to 50 minutes. This is a recipe instruction for that appliance, not a performance comparison or guarantee that every recipe will have the same result.
Grill
The listing also names a grill feature and a reversible grill rack. The presence of a grill mode is useful to distinguish the CMW-200 from a conventional microwave, but Cuisinart’s feature list alone does not quantify browning or grilling performance.

Do not mistake the CMW-100 for the convection model
The similarly named CMW-100 is not the CMW-200 with a different number. Cuisinart describes the CMW-100 as a conventional microwave with 1.0 cubic foot of capacity, 1000 watts, and a 12-inch rotating tray; its page also marks it discontinued and out of stock. The official listing does not include convection bake or roast, or a grill function. Check the model number on a listing or appliance label before buying.

What to check before buying a used or resale CMW-200
- Confirm the model: Verify that the label says CMW-200, especially when a listing uses a generic Cuisinart microwave title.
- Check working condition: Ask the seller to demonstrate the functions you intend to use, including convection and grill, rather than assuming the appliance works because the microwave heats.
- Confirm included accessories: Cuisinart’s model page names a glass dish, turntable ring, and reversible rack. Confirm what comes with the individual unit.
- Verify replacement-part fit: Cuisinart lists those parts in connection with the CMW-200, but compatibility should be checked against the exact model before ordering; do not assume a part for another Cuisinart microwave will fit.
- Inspect the space: Compare the listed 21.2 × 19 × 12.2-inch exterior dimensions with your available counter area, then confirm clearance requirements in the relevant manual.
- Get terms in writing: Cuisinart lists a three-year limited warranty, but that does not guarantee coverage for a used or third-party purchase. Confirm coverage directly for the specific unit and seller, along with the return window and who handles service.
Who should consider the CMW-200?
The CMW-200 may suit someone who specifically wants microwave, convection, and grill functions in one countertop appliance and is comfortable evaluating a discontinued model. It is a less straightforward choice for someone who needs a currently supported Cuisinart product or wants independently verified comparisons: the manufacturer pages establish listed features and specifications, but not present retailer inventory or comparative test results.
