La forma más segura de empezar es apagar y desenchufar el televisor, y pasar suavemente un paño de microfibra limpio y seco. Si queda una mancha, consulta el manual de tu modelo antes de usar agua: las recomendaciones varían según la marca. Nunca rocíes líquido directamente sobre la pantalla.
Qué necesitas para limpiar la pantalla
- Un paño suave, limpio y sin pelusa, preferentemente de microfibra.
- Agua, solo si las instrucciones del fabricante de tu televisor la permiten para limpiar manchas persistentes.
No hace falta preparar una mezcla casera ni aplicar un producto de limpieza para quitar polvo o huellas ligeras. Las guías de Samsung y LG consultadas recomiendan comenzar con un paño seco y seguir las indicaciones específicas del aparato si la mancha no sale.
Cómo limpiar el televisor paso a paso
- Apágalo y desenchúfalo. Si el televisor está caliente, deja que se enfríe unos minutos antes de limpiarlo.
- Retira el polvo en seco. Pasa el paño suavemente por la pantalla, sin presionar. Evita frotar con fuerza para no rayar la superficie ni dañar sus recubrimientos.
- Consulta el manual si persiste una mancha. La guía estadounidense de Samsung indica humedecer el paño con agua destilada; la guía de LG USA permite humedecerlo ligeramente con agua. Sigue las instrucciones de tu modelo y utiliza muy poca cantidad.
- Aplica el agua al paño, no a la pantalla. El paño debe quedar apenas húmedo, sin gotear. Limpia con suavidad y evita que el líquido llegue a los bordes o escurra por la parte inferior.
- Seca y espera. Si queda humedad, sécala suavemente con otro paño limpio. Deja que la pantalla se seque por completo antes de volver a conectar o encender el televisor.
Limpieza en seco o paño apenas húmedo: cuál elegir

Qué productos y métodos debes evitar
No uses limpiavidrios, jabón, detergentes, alcohol, benceno, amoníaco, acetona, ceras, polvos abrasivos, estropajos ni toallas de papel. No rocíes agua ni ningún otro líquido directamente sobre el televisor, y no frotes la pantalla con fuerza. Estas prácticas pueden rayar la superficie, dañar recubrimientos o permitir que el líquido entre en el equipo.
Samsung Latinoamérica lo resume así: «Nunca rocíes agua directamente sobre el televisor». Aunque un fabricante describa una excepción para ciertos modelos, como algunos televisores The Frame o Serif, esa indicación corresponde a esos modelos y no debe aplicarse a otras pantallas. Consulta siempre las instrucciones del aparato.

Por qué conviene consultar el manual de tu modelo
Las recomendaciones sobre el uso de agua no son idénticas para todas las pantallas. La guía de Samsung USA indica agua destilada sobre el paño cuando la limpieza en seco no basta; LG USA permite humedecerlo ligeramente con agua. La guía en español de Samsung también recomienda agua destilada y evitar productos químicos. Si el manual de tu televisor da instrucciones distintas, sigue el manual.
