No. Stanley 1913 says its products are not microwave-safe, and microwaving them can damage both the product and the appliance. The warning applies to Stanley drinkware such as the Quencher; “Stanley cup” here means the tumbler, not the hockey trophy.
Why Stanley drinkware should not go in the microwave
Stanley 1913’s US FAQ states: “Stanley 1913 products are not microwave-safe and placing them in the microwave can damage both the product and your appliance.” The company explains that most of its products are made from stainless steel. Items with a body made from another material may still have stainless-steel parts, such as hinges or handles.
Stanley’s warning is the practical answer: do not microwave a Stanley cup. It applies even if a particular tumbler’s main body is not stainless steel.
Microwave safety and dishwasher care are different
A dishwasher-safe label does not mean an item is microwave-safe. Stanley’s guidance says dishwasher suitability depends on the specific product: check the bottom of the item, and if it is marked dishwasher-safe, place it on the top rack.

For example, Stanley’s Quencher H2.0 Travel Tumbler product listing identifies the 30-ounce model as stainless steel and dishwasher-safe. That care information does not override the brand’s warning against microwave use. Check the model and care marking on your own cup rather than assuming every Stanley product has identical dishwasher instructions.

- Use a non-abrasive cleaner or baking soda.
- Soak the cup for 30 minutes.
- Scrub with a bristle brush or soft sponge.
