Possible low water pressure on October 7
The City of Lander’s sponsored notice, carried by County 10 on October 6, says people in portions of Wyoming Street, Capitol Avenue, Custer Street, Bridger Street, Buena Vista Drive, and Hillcrest Drive may experience low water pressure Wednesday, October 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Water service is expected to remain available, though pressure may be reduced. This is a pressure advisory, not a notice of a planned water outage.
The notice points to an attached map for the affected area, but the map is not available in the published text. The precise boundaries are therefore unclear; the street list does not establish that every address on those streets will be affected. The notice provides an expected work window, not a later confirmation of completion or current pressure conditions.
Capitol Avenue detour planned through October
The construction detour has shifted from Wyoming Street to Capitol Avenue and is planned to remain in place throughout October. The route change allows crews to continue work through the Wyoming Street and Buena Vista Drive intersection. The City says completing that intersection work this fall is intended to allow it to be open when construction resumes in 2027.
Access for local destinations
Construction flaggers will assist local access to the Lander Community and Convention Center, Showboat Retirement Home, Lander Medical Clinic, Lil’ Adventurers Daycare, and affected residences. Follow flagger directions when approaching the work area.
