Bobcat announced it with Greenzie on October 17, 2022, and the latest product information identified here lists a Bobcat ZT6100 AutoMower in limited production. A 2024 Doosan Bobcat report instead names a ZT6200, so buyers should confirm the exact model and configuration with a dealer.
What “ride-and-repeat” means
The workflow starts with an operator plotting a course and marking areas the mower should avoid. The mower then uses that mapped route for repeated autonomous mowing, with the route managed or edited through a smartphone app, according to Bobcat’s October 17, 2022 announcement and Greenzie’s product description.
Bobcat also said the system can detect known or unknown objects. The cited product descriptions do not quantify detection performance or explain how the mower responds to every type of obstacle, so that statement should be treated as a manufacturer description rather than a guarantee of detection in all conditions.
What Bobcat announced—and what the announcement did not establish
On October 17, 2022, Bobcat announced the autonomous mowing system developed with Greenzie and a strategic investment in the software company. The announcement positioned the system as commercial zero-turn equipment for repetitive mowing without an onboard operator, allowing the operator to take on other work. These are the companies’ intended use and productivity rationale, not independently measured results.

Bobcat said the mower would make its North American debut at Equip Exposition and that a limited launch was planned for late 2023. That was a plan stated in 2022; it does not establish when general commercial availability began.
Current product status and the ZT6100/ZT6200 naming difference
Greenzie’s product page identifies the Bobcat ZT6100 AutoMower as Greenzie-equipped, describes it as in limited production, and directs interested customers to a dealer. Production wording can change, so check current availability directly with a dealer.

There is a model-name discrepancy in the corporate material. Greenzie’s page names the ZT6100; Doosan Bobcat’s 2024 Sustainability Report names a ZT6200 as an autonomous mower developed with Greenzie. The report also associates that mower with ride-and-repeat, obstacle detection and mobile-app connectivity, but does not explain how the ZT6200 designation relates to the ZT6100. Doosan Bobcat’s 2022–2023 Sustainability Report lists the Greenzie-developed mower and those feature categories as well; it is historical corporate information, not confirmation of current availability.
Because the documents do not establish whether the two designations refer to identical retail configurations, ask a dealer to confirm the model number, software and equipment configuration for the specific machine being offered.

What prospective buyers should verify
- Exact model: Get the model designation for the unit in the quote or proposal and ask how it relates to the ZT6100 and ZT6200 references.
- Availability: Greenzie’s page says limited production and points customers to a dealer; confirm present production and local availability.
- Route workflow: Ask how operators plot and edit routes, mark avoidance areas, and manage the route in the smartphone app for the intended site.
- Obstacle handling: The company descriptions mention detection but provide no quantified performance results. Ask the dealer what operating limits and site conditions apply.
- Site suitability: Confirm the commercial mower and its route-planning process suit the property and mowing work at hand; the cited descriptions do not set out a consumer robotic-mower use case.
What is—and is not—supported about productivity
Bobcat and Greenzie framed the system as a way to reduce the need for an operator to ride during repetitive mowing and help crews address labor pressures. In the announcement, Bobcat vice president of global innovation Joel Honeyman said the investment could accelerate operator-assisted and automated solutions to help customers be more productive. Greenzie co-founder and CEO Charles Brian Quinn described labor shortages as a challenge and said the software helps crews be more productive. Those remarks are company views, not measured savings attributable to this mower.
The announcement, Greenzie product page and cited sustainability reports provide no mower-specific quantitative test result, named productivity statistic or price. They do not support a numerical estimate of labor savings or output.
