BLUETTI unveiled two very different backup-power products at CES 2025: the Apex 300, a portable and expandable power station, and the EnergyPro 6K, a substantially larger residential energy-storage system designed for installation. They are not direct substitutes.

The Apex 300 is the more flexible choice for RVs, temporary outage backup, workshops, cabins, and selected home circuits. The EnergyPro 6K is better suited to homeowners planning a fixed battery system connected to household distribution equipment. Both require closer inspection than BLUETTI’s promotional descriptions suggest, particularly around usable capacity, 240V loads, installation, accessories, pricing, and final specifications.

What BLUETTI announced at CES 2025

BLUETTI introduced the Apex 300 and EnergyPro 6K on January 9, 2025, at CES in Las Vegas as part of its “Product Era 3.0” strategy. The company presented Apex, Elite, and EnergyPro as related product families, but the two products discussed here occupy different categories.

BLUETTI described the Apex 300 as a portable power station and the EnergyPro 6K as a whole-house battery-backup system for homes and small-to-medium businesses. Both were initially described as products expected in the second quarter of 2025, so the CES timing was a launch announcement rather than proof that both systems were immediately available. BLUETTI later announced retail availability for the Apex 300 beginning August 1, 2025. Read BLUETTI’s CES announcement.

BLUETTI Apex 300: a portable power station with home-backup ambitions

The Apex 300 is fundamentally a large portable battery system. BLUETTI lists a base capacity of 2,764.8Wh and rated output of 3,840W, with 120V/240V operation. Current product materials also advertise up to 7,680W using the company’s “Power Lifting” mode and a claimed 0ms UPS function.

Those numbers describe different capabilities. Watt-hours indicate how much energy the battery stores; watts indicate how much power it can deliver at a moment in time. A 2.76kWh battery cannot run a 3,840W load for an hour. At that load, the theoretical runtime would be well under an hour before accounting for inverter losses, reserve settings, temperature, and battery-management limits.

BLUETTI says the Apex 300 can be expanded to as much as 58kWh of storage and 11.52kW of output. That is an ecosystem-level ceiling, not the capability of the standalone unit. Reaching it would require additional batteries and compatible integration equipment, increasing both cost and installation complexity.

The unit is aimed at several use cases:

  • Short-term refrigerator, internet, lighting, electronics, and medical-equipment backup, subject to load requirements.
  • RV, campsite, cabin, workshop, and off-grid power.
  • Solar charging and emergency power.
  • Home-panel integration using additional BLUETTI equipment.

Its portability is useful, but “portable” does not mean lightweight. BLUETTI’s materials put the unit at roughly 84 pounds. Moving it between a home and an RV is possible; treating it like a small camping battery is unrealistic.

Apex 300 pricing and availability

BLUETTI announced a retail launch price starting at $1,599. On the official U.S. product page checked August 18, 2026, the standalone Apex 300 was listed at $1,699. The same page showed a dated promotional listing of $2,599 for an Apex 300 with a B300K battery, as well as other bundles and accessories. Prices, discounts, and availability can change.

EF ECOFLOW 12kWh Power Station: DELTA Pro Ultra with Extra Battery
  • One Powers All. The unit of DELTA Pro Ultra whole house generator includes an inverter and a battery. One inverter supports 120V & 240V and has an exceptional 7200W output, allowing you to run almost any heavy household appliance, even a 3-ton central air conditioner. Triple the inverters for an incredible 21.6kW AC output, allowing you to live life to the fullest even during an outage. The electric generator achieves a total 7200W output even during charging.
  • Strong Power Security. Scalable from one battery of 6144Wh, two days of essential power, all the way to 15, it multiplies the energy to a gigantic 90kWh. For a standard North American household, that's over 30 days of essential power secured.
  • Customize Your Home Power. Use the EcoFlow app to priolritize specific circuits in your home, extending your backup even longer. For more than just blackouts, it intelligently analyses your home power usage to offset peak rates while utilizing solar to lower energy bills.
  • Multi Ways to Charge. One battery of 6144Wh can be fully recharged in 2 hours. Faster than any other 6kWh solar generator. Users can choose among electric vehicle piles, solar, wall outlets or outdoor generators for charging.
  • Uninterrupted Life. Online UPS with 0-ms transfer time, offering 24/7 protection for sensitive electrical devices against power disturbances or grid failure. All fans are off for the first half hour of outputting 2000W, giving you absolute silence for tranquility in everyday life.

The system cost rises quickly when expansion batteries, solar panels, charging equipment, a home-integration kit, wiring, or professional electrical work are added. A standalone product price should not be confused with the price of a functioning whole-home backup installation. See the current Apex 300 product page.

Why the AT1 panel matters

The AT1 Smart Distribution Panel is central to the EnergyPro concept. BLUETTI lists 120V/240V split-phase operation, a 200A rating, and 160A continuous grid/backup current, with 200A maximum. The page also lists less-than-20ms UPS time for the AT1, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and 4G connectivity.

BLUETTI says the panel can connect with EnergyPro systems and the Apex 300, as well as generators, solar or microinverter equipment, smart loads, and energy-storage systems. However, the announcement does not establish universal compatibility with every generator, EV, appliance, or vehicle. Buyers should verify supported models, communication protocols, included equipment, and U.S. availability.

What each system can realistically handle

Short outage: refrigerator and communications

An Apex 300 can be practical for a refrigerator, modem, router, lights, and small electronics if their combined running and startup loads remain within the system’s limits. Refrigerators and pumps can draw much more power briefly when their compressors or motors start, so nameplate running watts alone are not enough.

RV, campsite, or workshop

The Apex 300 is the clear fit because it can be relocated. The EnergyPro 6K’s 100kg weight and installation requirements make it unsuitable for ordinary mobile use.

Well pumps, HVAC, dryers, and EV chargers

These loads require careful electrical planning. A 120V/240V label means the system can support split-phase voltage, not that it can run every 240V appliance indefinitely. Continuous output, startup surge, battery state, transfer behavior, and any load-management settings all matter.

Multi-day outages

A standalone Apex 300 has limited energy for extended household use. Expansion can provide more autonomy, but additional batteries and integration hardware may bring the total system closer to the cost and complexity of a fixed battery installation. The EnergyPro 6K starts with greater capacity, but 7.68kWh still does not guarantee several days of whole-home operation. Runtime depends on the actual loads and whether solar or another charging source is available.

How to estimate runtime

A useful first estimate is:

Approximate runtime = battery capacity × inverter efficiency ÷ load

For example, a constant 500W load would theoretically consume 2,500Wh in five hours. Real runtime will be lower because of conversion losses, battery reserves, temperature, standby consumption, and changing appliance demand. Motor-driven equipment also has starting surges that may prevent startup even when its average running wattage appears acceptable.

Installation and cost questions

Before choosing either product, determine:

  1. Which circuits must remain powered during an outage?
  2. Do any loads require 240V, high startup current, or managed sequencing?
  3. How much usable energy is available after reserve settings, conversion losses, and depth-of-discharge limits?
  4. Is solar already installed, and can it operate during a grid outage?
  5. Will a generator, EV system, or smart load be connected?
  6. What panel, transfer equipment, cables, and breakers are required?
  7. What permits, inspections, utility approvals, and electrical upgrades apply locally?
  8. What is the complete installed price, including labor and taxes?
  9. Does backup operation continue if Wi-Fi, the app, cloud service, or a firmware update is unavailable?
  10. What are the warranty conditions and service arrangements?

For the EnergyPro 6K, the current public specification page does not provide a verified equipment or installed-system price. Buyers should request a written quote that separates the battery, AT1 or other distribution equipment, wiring, permits, labor, taxes, and any required site upgrades.

Important qualifications before buying

  • Bypass power is not necessarily battery power. A claimed 12kW bypass capability may describe electricity passing through from the grid or another source, rather than 12kW continuously supplied by the battery.
  • UPS claims are mode-specific. BLUETTI marketing materials claim 0ms UPS for the Apex 300, while the EnergyPro specification page lists less than 20ms for the AT1. These figures should not be treated as interchangeable or universal across every load and operating mode.
  • Expansion claims refer to a system ceiling. The Apex 300’s advertised 58kWh figure requires compatible expansion equipment; it is not the base unit’s capacity.
  • Compatibility must be confirmed. Generator, EV, solar, and smart-load features may depend on model, communications protocol, firmware, wiring, and local rules.
  • “Whole home” does not mean unlimited simultaneous operation. Panel ratings, continuous output, surge capacity, and load management still determine what can run.
  • Marketing payback claims require assumptions. Any claimed savings or payback depends on utility rates, solar production, financing, incentives, and usage patterns.

Which one should you choose?

Choose the Apex 300 if you need backup that can move between a home, RV, workshop, cabin, or campsite; want a high-output portable unit; or prefer to begin with a smaller system and expand later. It is also the more accessible starting point for selected home circuits, provided you understand its base capacity and the cost of integration hardware.

Choose the EnergyPro 6K if you want a dedicated home energy-storage system connected to residential distribution equipment, have a suitable installation pathway, and need more base storage and a more permanent backup arrangement. It is not appropriate for renters or buyers seeking a plug-and-play portable battery.

Neither product is an unconditional winner. The Apex 300 prioritizes flexibility and mobility; the EnergyPro 6K prioritizes fixed-system integration and greater starting capacity. The right choice depends on the loads, building, local electrical requirements, outage duration, and total installed budget—not on the CES headline alone.
