How the separate Ratnupura plant fits into Bhind’s sewage picture
A May 4, 2026 order by the National Green Tribunal in Brahmanand v. State of Madhya Pradesh discusses sewage conditions in the broader Bhind area and describes an operational 12 MLD sewage treatment plant at village Ratnupura. The order reproduces Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board findings that four drains carried sewage toward Gauri Sarovar. Those findings estimated approximately 2,160 KLD of sewage from about 20,000 people, while the order records that approximately 7 MLD was being treated at Ratnupura and about 13,550 household connections were linked to that plant. The Tribunal record concerns Ratnupura’s operational facility and the wider sewage and lake context. The available sources do not establish that Ratnupura is the plant under construction visited in October, so the figures above should not be treated as specifications or performance data for the inspected project.
