For a family that needs three child seats in one wagon, the clearest documented option here is the Larktale caravan Quad: its manufacturer says it can be reconfigured as a three-seater. The WonderFold W4 Original offers four seats and a higher listed overall capacity, but weighs more. Choose by the number and arrangement of seats, the limit for each seat or bench, and whether the wagon fits your routes, vehicle and storage space—not by total capacity alone.
Which wagons can seat three children?
Among the models with enough documented seating, the Larktale caravan Quad and WonderFold W4 Original are the strongest candidates for families carrying three children together. A four-seat arrangement leaves an extra position; Larktale also says its Quad can be changed to a three-seat configuration.

How to compare seat limits and total capacity
Published capacity numbers describe different constraints. Larktale lists a per-seat limit, a per-side limit and a total limit. WonderFold lists a per-bench limit as well as a total. These figures cannot be substituted for one another: a wagon’s overall capacity does not mean any single seat or bench can carry that much.
- Confirm the limit for the specific seat, bench or side your children will occupy.
- Check the overall limit as a separate constraint.
- Follow the lowest applicable limit and never exceed it, even if the combined weight of the children is below the wagon’s total capacity.
Check fit, folding and lifting before you buy
A wagon that seats three still has to fit the family’s everyday routine. The Larktale’s listed assembled width is 29.5 in, and its product weight is 48.4 lb. WonderFold lists a weight of 53 lb with seats. Those are substantial loads to lift, so consider who will be loading it and how often.

Measure the vehicle’s cargo opening and storage area, and compare them with the current folded dimensions for the exact model. The Larktale page lists folded dimensions of 13.6 × 29.5 × 45 in; confirm how the manufacturer presents those measurements and whether the current configuration folds that way.
Match wheels and features to your outings
Both leading candidates are described by their manufacturers as suitable for varied terrain: Larktale specifies all-terrain rubber wheels and all-wheel suspension, while WonderFold describes all-terrain wheels with suspension and bearings. These specifications do not establish how either wagon performs on sand, mud or steep trails. Think about your usual routes and look for a brake you can operate reliably, manageable steering and a layout that works for the children using it.

Compare the practical details on the exact model page: harness arrangement, seat access, canopy and storage. Distinguish equipment included with the wagon from separately sold accessories, and confirm that any accessory is compatible with that model.
Confirm age guidance and infant-seat compatibility
Larktale says its wagon seats are for children six months and up. It also describes separately sold adapters for specified infant-seat brands. That is not a reason to assume a wagon seat is suitable for a newborn or that every infant seat will fit. For an infant, check the current manual and the manufacturer’s compatibility list for the exact wagon and car-seat model, and follow the stated installation and use requirements.

For any child, verify the model’s age and height guidance, harness configuration and loading instructions. Product pages and configurations can change, so use the manual and labels for the wagon you are actually buying.
What safety claims and standards do—and do not—tell you
WonderFold’s product page lists ASTM F833-21, EN1888 and AS 2088:2022. This is a manufacturer statement about its product page, not a CPSC endorsement or an independent comparison of the wagons.
