The best laundry clip depends on what you’re hanging, what it’s hanging from, and whether it will stay outdoors. Choose a peg with a suitable jaw and grip for the garment, and a shape made for your line, rack, or rail. “Laundry clips” may also be sold as clothespins, clothes pegs, cloth pegs, or laundry pegs.
Match the clip to the garment and drying surface
Start with the wet item and where it will hang. A standard peg is meant to grip a clothesline; clips shaped for drying stands fit rack rods or wires, while pipe or railing clips are intended for rails. A clip that suits one surface may not fit another securely.
