For minced meat or a coarse filling, several food processors have manufacturer-documented meat-chopping uses. For a smooth, uniform meat purée, the evidence is less definitive: the available product information does not establish that any of these models reliably produces that texture. Choose according to your target result, batch size, and the instructions for the exact model.

What a food processor can do with meat

Food processors are documented for chopping or mincing meat, but chopping is not the same as making a perfectly smooth purée. Cuisinart says its blades can chop raw and cooked meat “from coarse to fine,” and separately lists puréeing among processor uses. That is manufacturer guidance about general capability, not a model-by-model guarantee of a smooth meat paste. Cuisinart’s food processor guide

If you want minced meat, a coarse filling, or pâté, the sources below identify relevant options. If you need a very smooth texture, check your model’s manual for the specific ingredient, blade, and method; do not assume that a processor’s general purée capability guarantees the result.

Food processors to consider for meat

Model Documented meat use Capacity or specification Best fit based on available information
KitchenAid KFP0921 9-Cup Food Processor KitchenAid says the multipurpose blade can mince meat. Its model-specific instructions cover chopping raw or cooked meat, poultry, or seafood. 9 cups, according to the product name. Chopping or mincing when you want a named model with meat use addressed in both product information and instructions.
Cuisinart Core Custom 10-Cup Cuisinart’s general guide covers chopping raw and cooked meat from coarse to fine, and describes puréeing as a processor use. It does not isolate this model’s meat-purée performance. 10 cups; 950 watts, as listed in Cuisinart’s guide. Comparing a larger-capacity option with a manufacturer-published meat-chopping claim; confirm the exact model’s instructions.
Sage/Breville BFP820 The manual lists cooked meat with the quad blade and pulse function for sandwich fillings, pâté, and baby food. Not stated in the cited manual section. Cooked-meat fillings or pâté where this model is currently available in your region.

These are candidates supported by manufacturer information, not comparative test winners. The sources do not establish which one makes the smoothest meat purée or compare durability, noise, cleanup, or price.

KitchenAid KFP0921: a documented option for mincing

The KitchenAid 9-Cup Food Processor product page identifies the KFP0921 and says its multipurpose blade can mince meat. KitchenAid’s model-specific instructions say meat, poultry, or seafood should be very cold when chopped. This is a model-specific instruction, not a general food-safety temperature recommendation.

Cuisinart Core Custom 10-Cup: a larger-batch possibility

Cuisinart’s guide lists the Core Custom as a 10-cup processor with a 950-watt motor and describes meat chopping and puréeing as processor uses. Those are manufacturer-published specifications and general guidance; they do not demonstrate how smoothly this specific model purées meat. See Cuisinart’s guide and confirm the included blade and instructions for the version you are considering.

Sage/Breville BFP820: instructions cover cooked-meat fillings

The BFP820 instruction manual lists cooked meat processed with the quad blade and pulse function for sandwich fillings, pâté, and baby food. This documents an intended application; it does not establish that the model outperforms the others. The manual is older, so check current availability and included parts in your region.

How to choose the right size and setup

KitchenAid describes residential food processor capacities as roughly 6–16 cups and recommends choosing based on your cooking needs. Capacity is a buying guide, not a claim about how much meat every model can process in one batch; follow the fill limits and batch instructions for the model you own. • Verify blade and method. The cited meat uses depend on particular blades or functions: KitchenAid’s multipurpose blade, and the BFP820’s quad blade with pulse. Check your exact model manual, especially when switching between raw and cooked meat.
  • Check regional availability and parts. Product names, included components, and availability can vary by region and over time. Confirm what is included before purchase.

Using a processor for meat: practical checks

  1. Read the exact model’s manual. Confirm that it covers the type of meat and preparation you plan to make, and identify the required blade and operating method.
  2. Prepare the meat as directed. For the KitchenAid KFP0921, the instructions say the meat, poultry, or seafood should be very cold when chopped. Do not treat that model-specific guidance as a substitute for food-safety advice.
  3. Process within the stated batch limits. Follow the manual’s loading guidance and use its recommended function. Pulse is specifically listed for the BFP820’s cooked-meat filling applications.
  4. Check the result before proceeding. If the texture is not suitable, consult the manual for the next step rather than assuming additional processing will produce a smooth purée.
  5. Clean the equipment according to its instructions. Use the manufacturer’s cleaning guidance for the bowl, blade, and other food-contact parts.

What the available specifications do—and don’t—tell you

Capacity, motor wattage, and listed meat uses help narrow a shortlist, but they do not substitute for comparative results. The manufacturer information cited here does not compare these processors for smoothness, consistency, processing time, durability, noise, or cleanup. If a reliably smooth meat purée is essential, prioritize a manual that explicitly describes the texture and method you need, and verify the result with your own ingredients and batch size.
