A foldable travel kettle still needs a compatible electrical supply; check voltage, wattage and connection before buying. The products below are specification examples, not independently tested winners.
Start with the power available where you camp
At a powered campsite, a mains travel kettle may be an option if its rating matches the outlet and any applicable site limits. At an unpowered site, a standard mains kettle will not work on its own: you need a compatible power source capable of supplying its voltage and wattage. A vehicle-based 12 V kettle is a separate category, with its own connection and electrical requirements.
Before choosing, check the kettle label and the official specifications for the outlet, inverter or power station you plan to use. Do not assume that a power station can run a kettle simply because it has an AC outlet; confirm that it supports the kettle’s voltage and load.

For powered campsites: consider a mains travel kettle
Midea MKE072M1CSA
Midea lists this foldable 0.7 L model at 120 V, 60 Hz and 600 W. Its product copy describes “a collapsible base and foldable handle,” and the manufacturer also lists automatic shutoff and a stainless-steel interior. Those specifications make it a possible choice where a compatible outlet is available, but they do not establish compatibility with a particular inverter or power station.
Wilfa Kok Travel TK-1000
Wilfa lists a 0.5 L stainless-steel kettle with 120/230 V dual voltage, 1000 W and automatic shutoff. Check the model’s regional availability and how voltage selection works for your unit, then confirm that your campsite supply can support its rating.

For vehicle-based use: check the 12 V setup carefully
Hardkorr’s discontinued example
Hardkorr’s page documents a 1 L, 12 V DC kettle rated at 150 W with an Anderson-style connector. It says the supply should have a fuse rated at 20 amps or larger and warns against using a cigarette-lighter-to-Anderson adapter because of high current draw. These are requirements stated for this product; do not assume another 12 V kettle uses the same connector or fuse arrangement. Hardkorr marks the model discontinued, so the page is not evidence that it is currently purchasable.
A 12 V label alone does not settle whether a kettle will work with your vehicle outlet or portable power setup. Verify the outlet’s available current, connector, fuse requirements and the kettle’s own instructions. If any specification does not match or is unclear, do not improvise an adapter.

Choose capacity and portability for your actual use
The cited examples span 0.5 L to 1 L, but capacity is only one trade-off. A smaller kettle may suit one or two hot drinks and take up less room; a larger one can heat more water per batch but may require more space and power. Foldable bodies and handles can reduce packing bulk, though the cited specifications do not provide a consistent comparison of packed dimensions across models.
For instance, the Dretec PO-168 is listed at 585 g and 0.6 L, but its page marks it discontinued. Midea lists a 0.7 L collapsible design without a comparable packed-size or weight figure in the cited specifications. Compare current product details directly rather than inferring which packs smaller.

- Check the connection: verify the exact plug or connector and follow the kettle manufacturer’s fuse and wiring instructions.
