How to choose a double hammock
Start with where and how you will use it. A hammock for a backyard or basecamp can prioritize roomy lounging; for backpacking, packed weight matters more. A manufacturer’s load rating describes its stated capacity, not how comfortable two people will find the hammock.

- For two-person lounging: Look for an explicit occupancy description, but do not treat it as a promise of comfortable overnight sleep for two.
- For taller campers: Compare actual dimensions. Kammok suggests its Roo Double XL for campers over 6 ft 4 in; that is manufacturer guidance, not a universal fit cutoff.
- For a backyard without trees: Check stand compatibility for the exact hammock model and its suspension.

Choose the Roo Double for a lighter listed packed weight
Among the two Roo Double versions with full specifications here, the standard Roo Double is listed at 17.1 oz packed, compared with 18 oz for the Printed version. Both measure about 10 ft long and just under 6 ft wide, and both have the same manufacturer-listed 500 lb maximum capacity. Those figures do not establish comparative comfort or durability.
Choose the Printed version for its listed material and print options
The Roo Double Printed uses polyester rather than the standard Roo Double’s recycled nylon. Kammok describes its finish as DWR waterproofing. These are manufacturer material descriptions, not independent water-resistance or durability test results.

Consider the XL if you need more room
The Roo Double XL is listed at 11 ft 6 in long and 6 ft 6 in wide. Kammok suggests it for campers over 6 ft 4 in, but the guide does not provide packed weight or material details, so compare those directly on the current product listing if they matter to your decision.
Keep the ENO comparison appropriately limited
REI describes the ENO DoubleNest Print as spacious enough for two and suited to outdoor lounging and camping. The cited listing does not supply enough specifications here for a like-for-like comparison of dimensions, weight, capacity rating or included suspension.

What “double” means for sleeping
Kammok describes its Roo Double models as suitable for one or two people lounging, while recommending one person for overnight sleep. A two-person lounging description and a 500 lb maximum capacity are not evidence that two people will sleep comfortably in the hammock. If you intend to camp overnight as a couple, look for a product that explicitly supports that use and assess the full sleeping setup rather than relying on the word “double.”
Plan for suspension and setup
The two cited Roo Double models include carabiners and slings, but not hammock straps. Check the exact package contents before buying, and budget for compatible hammock tree straps if needed. Kammok’s general setup guide recommends sturdy living trees 12–15 ft apart and straps about 6 ft above the ground. Those are general instructions, not a substitute for the product-specific setup guide or the suspension maker’s directions. Attach the hammock using its hardware to an attachment loop on the straps, following the applicable instructions.

Kammok says cold hand washing is best for extending the Roo Double Printed’s useful life. If using a washing machine, its instructions specify a front-loader without an agitator. Remove the carabiners and slings, wash the hammock alone on a gentle cold cycle without fabric softener, bleach or stain remover, then hang it to dry. Follow the manufacturer’s current care instructions for other models.
