For a straightforward 1,500-watt De’Longhi oil-filled radiator, the TRH0715 offers manual controls and core heating features; choose the Dragon TRD50615E if you want digital controls and programmable scheduling. These are manufacturer-listed features, not independently tested performance rankings. Check the exact model number and local listing before buying, since features and availability vary by region.
Which De’Longhi oil heater should you choose?
Choose by how you want to control the heater, whether you need a timer, and whether the model’s size and safety features suit the room. De’Longhi’s US category lists five oil-filled radiator products, including ComfortTemp, Dragon, and Radia S variants; its lineup and stock can change. Check the current US oil-filled radiator listings and verify the precise model suffix.
| Model | Manufacturer-listed specifications | Consider it if… |
|---|---|---|
| TRH0715 | 1,500 watts; adjustable thermostat; three heat settings; anti-freeze setting; thermal shutoff; preassembled Smart Snap wheels; permanently sealed diathermic oil reservoir that does not need refilling. De’Longhi TRH0715 product page | You prefer simpler controls and want the listed core features without a digital timer. |
| Dragon TRD50615E | 1,500 watts; digital control panel; 24-hour timer with 96 on/off intervals; child lock, tip-over switch, and thermal cutoff. De’Longhi also states it has 75% more radiant surface area. De’Longhi TRD50615E product page | You value digital controls and want to schedule operation using the listed timer. |
The stated 75% figure is the manufacturer’s comparison of radiant surface area, not an independent measure of room-heating speed or effectiveness. The published specifications do not establish which model heats a room faster, costs less to run, lasts longer, or makes less noise.
What distinguishes Dragon, Radia S, and other regional models?
Model-family names alone are not enough to compare heaters: wattage, controls, and suffixes differ across product lines and regions. For example, De’Longhi’s UK listings include a 500W Nano, 1.5kW and 2kW Radia S models, a 2kW Dragon 4, and a 2.5kW Dragon 4 Pro, with mechanical, digital-timer, and connected variants. Those UK listings do not establish US specifications or availability. See De’Longhi GB’s oil-filled radiator range.

How to choose for your room and routine
Choose controls that fit your habits
The TRH0715 has an adjustable thermostat and three heat settings. The TRD50615E adds a digital panel and a 24-hour timer with 96 on/off intervals, according to De’Longhi. If scheduled operation matters to you, check that the exact model you are buying includes the timer; the feature should not be assumed across the Dragon family.
Compare documented features, not implied performance
Both listed US models are rated at 1,500 watts. That shared rating does not by itself show which heater will warm a particular room adequately or what it will cost to operate. The manufacturer pages cited here do not provide independent comparative room-heating, energy-cost, durability, or noise tests.
