Specifications are taken from Breville’s US product pages for the IQ Kettle, IQ Kettle Pure, Smart Kettle Luxe, and Crystal Clear. A wattage figure alone does not establish which kettle boils faster in real use.
When preset temperatures are useful
Breville describes five settings for the IQ Kettle, IQ Kettle Pure, and Smart Kettle Luxe, associating them with black, green, white, and oolong tea and French press coffee. The settings may be useful if you routinely prepare those drinks and want a selectable temperature rather than boiling every fill. The manufacturer’s description is not independent proof that a particular setting produces a better-tasting drink.

Among these models, the IQ Kettle and Smart Kettle Luxe explicitly list a 20-minute keep-warm function. If you want that feature, check the current product page and manual for your exact model’s operation; do not assume it is present on the IQ Kettle Pure just because it belongs to the IQ family.
When a simpler glass kettle makes sense
Breville presents the Crystal Clear as a glass kettle for general water heating, with automatic shutoff at boiling and an 1800-watt heating element. That makes it a candidate for someone who values a visible glass vessel and does not need the preset-temperature features described for the IQ and Smart Kettle Luxe models. The cited product page appears to use a legacy path, so verify that the model is currently offered in your region before making a purchase decision.

Check capacity, safety, and local specifications
The IQ Kettle Pure and Smart Kettle Luxe US pages each list 57 ounces / 7 cups. Breville lists the IQ Kettle as 7 cups. These figures should not be generalized to every kettle in the range: compare the capacity shown for the precise model you are considering.
The Pure and Luxe US listings specify auto shutoff and boil-dry protection. The Crystal Clear page states automatic shutoff at boiling. These feature descriptions are model-specific; consult the relevant manual for operating and safety details.

Regional specifications can differ. For example, Breville’s ANZ BKE720 booklet lists 2400 watts for that different model and market; that figure should not be applied to US models. Check the model number, voltage, power, capacity units, and warranty terms on the local product page and packaging.

- Verify local details: Check the regional page for capacity, wattage, voltage, warranty, and included features; do not transfer specifications between markets or similar model names.
- Check availability: Breville’s US support page lists 14 kettle products, but that count does not mean every model is currently for sale. Confirm the exact product’s current local listing.
Breville’s US kettle category separates temperature-selection kettles from general water-heating options such as Soft Top and Crystal Clear. Its broader support catalog includes multiple product families, so family names alone are not enough to establish a model’s features.
