Light filtering, privacy and blackout are different claims
A light-filtering shade can soften incoming daylight without making a room dark or blocking views after dark. Bamboo weave and an unlined construction may leave gaps or allow light through; the exact effect depends on the product and installation. A blackout liner or a seller’s sunlight-blocking claim is a different configuration, and should not be inferred from the words “bamboo Roman shade” alone.

Natural material and ongoing care
Woven bamboo is not a perfectly uniform surface.
