Safety and cleaning deserve close attention
Any exposed cutting component can injure during use or cleanup. A chute or guard can reduce direct contact, but no feature should be treated as a guarantee. Keep hands away from blades, use only the food holder or pusher intended for the exact product, and follow that model’s setup, operation, cleaning, and storage instructions.
A generic electric-mandoline manual for models GMS100/DY-SV200 warns that blades are sharp and calls for care during use and cleaning; those instructions are not specific to the Dash DEM30001: generic electric mandoline manual. When a manual mandoline may be the better fit
