Why this sale is called Prime Big Deal Days
Amazon’s October 6–7, 2026 event was officially named Prime Big Deal Days. Amazon’s summer Prime Day 2026 took place June 23–26, so the October Craftsman offers were part of a separate event. Amazon’s October announcement said select CRAFTSMAN, DEWALT and Bosch power tools were discounted up to 40%. That figure applies to select power tools, not every Craftsman product.

How to choose between the drill kit and circular saw
Choose the combo kit if you need a battery-equipped starting point
The reported $99 combo included two batteries and a charger as well as the drill, impact driver and storage bag. That makes the package easier to compare with a tool-only listing if you do not already have V20 batteries. The deal listing alone does not establish long-term durability or performance, so base the decision on the tasks you need the tools to perform and the current package contents.
Choose the saw only after accounting for the battery system
The reported $84.99 V20 circular saw is tool-only: its battery and charger are separate purchases. If you already own compatible V20 batteries and a charger, compare the saw’s current listing price with your needs. Otherwise, add the cost of the required battery and charger before comparing it with a kit or another saw.

Consider hand tools for a different kind of savings
The ratcheting screwdriver set and metric mechanics set serve fastening and repair tasks rather than replacing a power tool. The approximately 51% reduction applies only to the mechanics set’s listed $14.99 price compared with its listed $30.48 previous price. It should not be read as a 51% discount across Craftsman drills, saws or sanders.
Check the live price and total cost before buying
- Open the current product listing. Confirm that the model and package match the tool you want, and check whether batteries, charger, accessories and storage are included.
- Calculate the complete cost. For a tool-only V20 item, include any battery and charger you would need to buy separately. Check the checkout price, shipping and applicable tax.
- Check price history. Amazon says product pages provide up to 365 days of price-history insights. Use that context alongside your own price-history source rather than treating a crossed-out reference price as proof of the best historical price.
- Confirm availability. Amazon says event offers are available only while supplies last. Stock and pricing can change, so rely on the live listing and checkout rather than an October 6 roundup.
What the discount figures do—and do not—mean
Amazon’s up-to-40% announcement covered select power tools from CRAFTSMAN, DEWALT and Bosch. The separate approximately 51% example is arithmetic based on the listed prices for one 10-piece metric mechanics set, a hand-tool set. The figures describe different product scopes and are not contradictory. Neither promotional percentage shows how a tool performs or proves that its reference price is its lowest recent price.
