Aldi has offered the Yard Force MB400 robot lawnmower for £199.99, but that is a dated offer—not confirmation it is available now. The model is designed for gardens up to 400m² and has Bluetooth app control; installation requires boundary wire, so the low purchase price is not the whole setup story.
Is Aldi’s £199.99 robot mower still available?
Availability on 8 October 2026 is not established. Aldi’s official announcement on 23 April 2025 said its £199.99 Specialbuy was due in stores from 1 May, while stocks lasted. Aldi’s announcement described a limited launch, not a continuing price or stock guarantee. So the accurate answer to “Is Aldi’s robot lawnmower available for £200?” is: it has been sold at that price, but check Aldi’s current listings or local store before making plans to buy one.
What is the mower, and what does Aldi say it can do?
The Independent identifies Aldi’s mower as the Yard Force MB400. Aldi’s 2025 announcement describes a Bluetooth-controlled robotic mower with a built-in 20V/2.0Ah lithium-ion battery, charging station and clip-on cover. The Independent additionally reports a 16cm cutting width, up to one hour’s running time, a maximum slope of 30%, integrated lift, tilt and turnover sensors, obstacle/radar sensors, and a two-year warranty. Why the £199.99 price looked unusually low
Aldi’s leaflet compared the Yard Force MB 400 at £199.99 at Aldi with £449.99 at B&Q, based on a comparison checked on 3 April 2025. The leaflet limits the comparison to the products it references, excludes promotional offers, and includes availability and regional caveats. It is evidence of a notable price difference in that specific comparison—not proof that Aldi had the cheapest robot mower in the whole market, or that either price is current. Check your lawn’s area and shape
Aldi states that the MB400 is suitable for gardens up to 400m². A lawn’s usable mowing area and layout matter: narrow passages, separate sections and obstacles can affect whether a robot mower is practical even when the overall area is within its stated capacity.

Plan for boundary-wire installation
Tech Advisor reports that the MB400 needs boundary wire set up around the mowing area. That installation requirement is an important part of the decision: account for the time and effort of positioning the wire, and check the instructions for the exact model before starting. Tech Advisor’s coverage
Match slope, cutting and charging details to your garden
The Independent reports a maximum slope of 30%, a 16cm cutting width and up to one hour of running time. Tech Advisor reports a 100-minute recharge from flat. Compare the full purchase, not just the headline price
Before choosing this or another robot mower, compare the lawn area and layout it supports, slope limits, boundary-wire setup, cutting width and height, runtime and recharge time, control options, warranty, included accessories and the current total price. Compatibility details for replacement blades or boundary wire were not established for every MB400 variant, so verify the exact model before ordering parts.
