Yes, Airversa’s Humelle is a genuine Apple Home humidifier—but there are now two different products using the Humelle name. The original Humelle AH1 has a 5.5-liter tank, while the newer model announced in July 2026 has a smaller 3.2-liter tank. Both are described as HomeKit-over-Thread devices, but the newer model’s promised Matter support should not be treated as available until a firmware update has actually shipped.
The Humelle is a good fit for Apple Home households that already own a compatible Thread-capable hub and are willing to use distilled or purified water and clean the unit frequently. It is a poor fit if you need immediate Google Home or Alexa support, want an evaporative humidifier, or do not want vendor-app and maintenance obligations.

The newer model’s formal model number, complete dimensions, maximum output, warranty terms, firmware version, and full Apple Home service layout have not been independently confirmed in the available evidence. Those details should be treated as unverified.
HomeKit, Thread, and Matter compatibility
The original AH1 connects to Apple Home using HomeKit over Thread. Thread is the low-power wireless network used by the accessory; HomeKit is Apple’s smart-home platform. They are not interchangeable terms, and HomeKit-over-Thread does not automatically mean Matter-compatible.
The newer Humelle is also described as connecting directly to Apple Home over Thread. Airversa is reported to have planned a future Matter update, but that is a promise rather than a present feature. Do not buy it assuming Google Home or Alexa compatibility unless the exact device has received the update and you can confirm its current Matter support.

For the AH1, the manual identifies these compatible Thread-capable hubs:
- HomePod mini
- HomePod (2nd generation)
- Apple TV 4K (2nd generation)
- Apple TV 4K (3rd generation with Wi-Fi and Ethernet)
An iPhone alone is not a substitute for a suitable Apple Home hub. Older Apple TVs and Wi-Fi-only Apple TV models may not provide the required Thread Border Router capability. If you do not already own compatible hardware, include the cost of a hub in the real system price.
How to set up the original Humelle AH1
The following procedure is specific to the AH1. Do not assume the 3.2-liter model uses the same button combination.
- Configure a compatible Thread-capable Apple Home hub.
- Install the Sleekpoint app or open the Apple Home app.
- Place the iPhone within approximately 3 metres (10 feet) of the humidifier.
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Press and hold the Power and Light buttons together for about five seconds.
- Wait for the long beep indicating pairing mode.
- Add the accessory in Sleekpoint or Apple Home and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Allow approximately five to ten minutes for the first Thread connection.
If setup stalls, reboot the iPhone or Apple Home hub and try again. Keep the hub within approximately 10 metres (30 feet) during initial connection, as recommended in the AH1 manual.

What Apple Home can control
Independent coverage of the AH1 reports separate Home services or tiles for:
- The humidifier
- Temperature sensing
- Humidity sensing
- The LED ring or light
Apple Home generally provides on/off control and target-humidity control, alongside Siri, scenes, and automations. Mist or fan-level controls may be located in accessory settings rather than appearing as an obvious mist-strength slider on the main tile.
Apple Home also does not necessarily expose every lighting option available in Sleekpoint. The vendor app offers more detailed multicolor lighting customization, while native Home control is more limited. The newer model is reported to expose its multicolor light to Apple Home, but its exact retail-firmware service layout still requires verification.
What Sleekpoint adds
The Sleekpoint app is not strictly required for basic AH1 Apple Home control, but it is useful for:
- Firmware updates
- More detailed schedules
- Lighting scenes
- Thread-status information
- Sensor-related SenseBoost settings
- Airversa device management
This creates a hybrid experience: everyday operation can happen in Apple Home, but advanced configuration and firmware maintenance may still depend on Airversa’s app and support infrastructure. Do not assume every function works without an account or internet connection unless Airversa documents that behavior.
Useful Apple Home automations
The Humelle’s value is greater than remote on/off control. It can participate in practical humidity routines such as:
- Low-humidity start: turn the humidifier on when bedroom humidity falls below a chosen threshold.
- Target reached: turn it off when humidity reaches the desired level.
- Night schedule: permit operation only during overnight hours.
- Open-window protection: stop humidification when a compatible contact sensor reports that a window or door is open.
- Leak protection: turn the humidifier off if a nearby leak sensor detects water.
- Bedroom scene: combine humidification with low-intensity lighting.
Use thresholds appropriate to your room and climate rather than blindly maximizing humidity. The built-in sensor is close to the humidifier and its mist plume, so it may read higher than the humidity elsewhere in the room. A separate HomeKit humidity sensor can provide a useful cross-check, although it adds another device and automation dependency.
AH1 specifications and performance claims
The following specifications apply to the original AH1, not automatically to the newer 3.2-liter Humelle:

What is currently known about the newer 3.2-liter Humelle
The July 2026 announcement describes the newer model as having:
- A 3.2-liter top-fill tank
- Up to 60 hours of claimed operation depending on mist level
- A mist plume reaching up to 40 inches
- A reported Sleep mode of approximately 28 dB
- Temperature and humidity sensors
- Automatic humidity mode
- A multicolor LED light
- Sleekpoint customization and maintenance reminders
- Aromatherapy functionality
- HomeKit over Thread
- Planned future Matter support
HomeKit News reported a US price signal of US$69.99 on July 13, 2026. That may be a launch price or promotion rather than a permanent retail price. Check the current product listing before purchasing.
Maximum mist output, dimensions, weight, formal model number, warranty, exact button layout, full HomeKit exposure, and whether Matter had shipped as of August 18, 2026 were not established by the available evidence.

The AH1 manual recommends cleaning the humidifier approximately every 72 hours and using distilled, demineralized, or purified water. That requirement materially affects ownership effort and running cost.
- Do not fill the tank with liquids other than water.
- Remove the tank from the base before moving the unit.
- Carry a filled tank with two hands.
- Keep the humidifier away from high-traffic areas where it could be knocked over.
- Keep it out of children’s reach.
- Clean mineral deposits and follow the current model’s manual for descaling.
Ultrasonic humidifiers can accumulate mineral deposits, especially when operated with hard tap water. A larger tank reduces refills but does not remove the need for frequent cleaning. If you are unwilling to clean the device regularly or buy suitable water, a smart humidifier may be the wrong category for you.
Essential oils
The AH1 uses an aroma tray or pads so fragrance does not contact the water. Do not pour essential oils directly into the tank unless the manual for the exact model explicitly allows it. Aromatherapy is a fragrance feature, not evidence of medical or respiratory benefits.
Troubleshooting
The Humelle does not appear during setup
- Confirm that a compatible Apple Home hub is online.
- Enable Bluetooth on the iPhone.
- Move the iPhone within approximately 3 metres (10 feet).
- Put the AH1 into pairing mode by holding Power and Light for about five seconds.
- Locate the HomeKit setup code on the product or in the manual.
- Check that the device is not already assigned to another Home.
It pairs but is unavailable over Thread
Wait five to ten minutes after the first pairing. If it remains unavailable, reboot the iPhone or Apple Home hub and retry, following the AH1 manual’s recovery guidance.
Humidity control seems inaccurate
Compare the reading with a separate humidity sensor. Check whether the unit is near its own mist plume, whether doors or windows are changing room conditions, and whether automatic mode is being confused with a manually selected mist level. Cleaning or sensor-assistance settings may also matter.
A desired control is missing in Apple Home
Check Sleekpoint. Some AH1 mist, fan, scheduling, and lighting controls are more accessible in the vendor app than in Apple Home. The absence of a control in Home does not necessarily mean the humidifier cannot perform that function.
The device is noisy or output is weak
Check the water level, mineral buildup, cleaning status, operating mode, and whether the humidifier is level. The approximately 28 dB claim applies to the newer model’s announcement and should not be applied automatically to the AH1.
Alternatives
Evaporative humidifier plus HomeKit outlet and sensor
This approach may suit buyers who prefer evaporative operation or want to reduce visible mineral mist. A smart outlet usually provides power control only, so it will not reproduce every integrated humidifier function. A separate humidity sensor is needed for automation.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsA Matter-compatible humidifier
A verified Matter device may be better for a mixed Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa household. Confirm that the exact model supports humidifier controls—not merely on/off power switching—and that Apple Home exposes the features you need. The newer Humelle’s future Matter support should not be counted until available and tested.
A basic non-smart humidifier
This is the simplest choice for buyers prioritizing low purchase cost and no app dependency. The trade-off is losing Siri, remote control, Thread connectivity, and automatic HomeKit routines.
Who should buy which model?
- Buy the AH1 if you want the largest tank, fewer refills, and a product with documented AH1 setup instructions and review coverage.
- Consider the 2026 Humelle if you want a smaller 3.2-liter design and the reported lower price, while accepting uncertainty about its complete specifications and future Matter update.
- Skip either model if you do not own a compatible Apple Home hub, need Google Home or Alexa immediately, or do not want frequent cleaning and purified water.
- Choose an evaporative alternative if visible mist, mineral deposits, or ultrasonic maintenance are major concerns.
- Use a separate humidity sensor if accurate room-wide automation matters more than having an all-in-one appliance sensor.
Final verdict
Airversa’s Humelle is a credible HomeKit-over-Thread option for Apple-focused homes, but the buying decision depends on model identification and maintenance tolerance. The AH1 is the clearer choice for capacity: its 5.5-liter tank is substantially larger and its Apple Home setup and specifications are documented. The newer 3.2-liter Humelle may be more attractive for a smaller room or lower reported purchase price, but its full specifications and promised Matter support remain conditional.
Whichever model you choose, budget for a compatible Thread-capable Apple Home hub if you do not already own one, use the water recommended by the manual, and treat frequent cleaning as essential rather than optional.
