A renovation of a 1950s Spanish Revival home in Studio City uncovered a defunct indoor pool beneath the floorboards. House of Rolison founders Amanda Leigh and Taylor Hahn converted the space into two bedrooms, according to Mansion Global. The home also had a separate hidden panic room.
What was beneath the floorboards?
Mansion Global reported that the House of Rolison team found a disused indoor pool beneath the flooring while renovating the home. It was not a working pool left as a surprise amenity for the next owners: the former pool area was converted into two bedrooms.

The report describes the property as a 1950s Spanish Revival home near the Mulholland Scenic Overlook in Studio City, California. Amanda Leigh and Taylor Hahn, the design-build firm’s co-founders, led the renovation. Mansion Global said the house had accumulated changes over the decades, including 1980s vinyl windows and rainbow-painted gutters, alongside the former pool.
The pool was not the only hidden feature
Mansion Global also reported a concealed panic room. Leigh told the publication that the room was completely hidden and said prospective buyers did not notice it during the four days the home was shown. The panic room was separate from the space where the pool had been found.
