ZJZY, which the manufacturer also styles as ZONVE, sells nano-crystallized glass stone slabs for countertops, wall panels, stairs and other interior surfaces, and presents them as alternatives to marble. The evidence supports describing the product, its listed formats and the properties the maker advertises. It does not support calling nanoglass superior to traditional stone. The manufacturer’s pages contain no product-specific independent comparison, and the only numeric test values in circulation belong to a different company’s product.
What “nanoglass” means in this product line
“Nanoglass” is shorthand for a manufactured nano-crystallized glass stone slab. It is not one standardized specification. ZONVE calls its material “Nano Crystallized Glass Stone” or “Nano Glass Stone Slabs,” and says the slabs can be cut, polished, machined and hot-bent. Two offers that both say “nanoglass” can differ in composition, finish and fabrication limits, so any comparison has to be made on the exact product and surface treatment being quoted.
Where the maker says it can be used
ZONVE lists the following applications for its slabs:
- Kitchen countertops
- Bathroom vanity tops
- Stairs and columns
- Cabinets and tables
- Wall panels and shower stone
- Window sills
- Decorative lighting and artifacts
These are manufacturer-described uses. The listing does not say which uses a given product is rated for, and it does not address outdoor exposure. Suitability for any installation depends on the specific product and the project specification, so confirm both with the supplier before committing to a use.

Formats, sizes and thicknesses
The manufacturer’s page gives the following standard formats:
| Parameter | Listed by ZONVE |
|---|---|
| Slab sizes | 2800×1600 mm, 3200×1600 mm, 3000×1500 mm |
| Thicknesses | 12 mm, 18 mm, 30 mm |
| Custom options | Custom sizes, shapes, edge profiles, glossy or matte surface treatments |
Tolerances and maximum fabrication dimensions are not stated on the reviewed page. Current availability should also be confirmed directly with the supplier, because listed formats can change.
What the manufacturer advertises
ZONVE’s product page advertises the following properties:
Rank #2
- Grade 1, high-quality porcelain mosaic tile for floor, wall and countertop use
- Glazed smooth glossy finish with a high sheen and slight variation in tone
- Impervious tile has water absorption of less than 0.5% for indoor or some outdoor use
- To ensure proper coverage and design flexibility, we recommend purchasing a minimum of 10% overage to account for design cuts and patterns.
- GREENGUARD indoor air quality certified and GREENGUARD children and schools certified product
- Low water absorption and a non-porous structure
- Stain resistance
- Mohs hardness 6 or higher
- High gloss and whiteness, described as “95% Reflective”
- Recyclability
- Consistent appearance, high density and translucency
The page describes these as the company’s own claims. It does not name a test method or standard for any of the figures, and it does not show a ZONVE-specific test report. The “95% Reflective” figure in particular cannot be converted into a standard gloss value without clarification from the maker. The product description uses this phrasing: “Nano Glass Stones are known for their consistent appearance, high density, non-porous nature, and translucency.” That is ZONVE’s own description, not an independent assessment.

The numeric test values in circulation
A test table reproduced by Enming Art Stone Co., Ltd. lists values for a material it names “Nanoglass CN-003.” The table attributes testing to the China National Research Center of Testing Techniques for Building Materials and carries a report date of March 23, 2016.
| Property | Value reported | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Specular gloss | 86 | Enming CN-003 report, 2016 |
| Flexural strength | 71.5 MPa | Enming CN-003 report, 2016 |
| Mohs hardness | Grade 6 | Enming CN-003 report, 2016 |
| Thermal shock | No crazing reported | Enming CN-003 report, 2016 |
| Water absorption | 0.003% | Enming CN-003 report, 2016 |
These values describe Enming’s product, tested in 2016. They are not ZONVE specifications and are not current results for any ZONVE slab. A separate qualitative table published by Henan Gaoshi for its own “Oriental Crystalline Silicon” product is supplier marketing for a different material and is not evidence for ZONVE either.

Why “superior” is not supported
ZONVE published an article on April 18, 2023, updated April 20, 2023, that describes nanoglass as durable, heat- and stain-resistant, hygienic, eco-friendly and aesthetically flexible. Those are promotional claims. The reviewed sources include no controlled comparison against named marble, granite or other stone, and no test that holds ZONVE’s product and a traditional stone to the same method and conditions.
Performance also depends on use. A 30 mm slab on a long span, a 12 mm wall panel and a countertop face six different demands, and no source ranks ZONVE against marble or granite across them. Nanoglass is a reasonable material to evaluate for specific interior uses. Calling it superior to traditional stone across construction and design is not supported by the available evidence.

A fair comparison looks at the same factors for each material. The table shows what ZONVE’s sources do and do not establish.

The hardness row needs context. Marble is mostly calcite, which sits near 3 on the Mohs scale, while the quartz and feldspar in most granites generally fall around 6 to 7. A Mohs 6 rating therefore does not by itself show that a nanoglass slab resists scratching better than granite, because surface behaviour also depends on finish and wear conditions.
Questions to put to ZONVE before specifying
- A current product-specific technical data sheet, plus the original test reports with their test methods and product and finish identification.
- Confirmed supported applications, and whether the product is rated for indoor or outdoor exposure.
- Slab dimensions and tolerances, and the maximum fabrication size for each thickness.
- Fabrication and installation instructions, including support spans and edge detail.
- Slip-resistance data for the specific finish, if the surface will be used on floors, stairs or wet areas.
- Fire, food-contact and other applicable compliance documentation for the intended use.
- Written cleaning and maintenance guidance.
- Warranty terms, current availability and lead time.
ZONVE’s website provides an inquiry channel, which is the practical route for these documents. To start one, request a custom nanoglass slab quote and ask for the documentation above in the same message.
