To use a Samsung EcoBubble washer, choose a cycle that suits the fabric and load, put detergent and softener in the compartments marked for them, then start the machine using the controls on your model. Samsung’s cycle names, drawer layouts and cleaning functions vary by model, so check the manual for your exact washer before using a feature or relying on a load limit.
What does EcoBubble mean?
Samsung describes its ecobubble™ technology as mixing air, water and detergent to create bubbles that wash clothes at cooler temperatures. That is the manufacturer’s description of the feature, not independent evidence that every load cleans better, saves a fixed amount of energy or prevents fabric damage. The wording appears in Samsung’s 2022 UK business brochure: Feature Glossary Washing Machines & Washer Dryers.
Find the manual for your exact model first
Look for the model code on the appliance or its paperwork, then use Samsung’s support page to find the corresponding manual. For example, Samsung provides support for the WW10T504DAN and lists manuals for the WW90CGC04DABEU. These are examples, not a universal operating guide. As Samsung UK notes, the exact cycles depend on the model.
Use that manual for the control sequence, available cycles and options, load limits, dispenser design and any automatic-dosing settings. Samsung’s examples and guidance below are UK-specific; other regions and model variants may differ.

How do I choose a wash cycle?
Start with the garment care labels, then match the fabric and washing task to a cycle available on your machine. Samsung UK gives these representative examples:

The 2 kg Wool and 4 kg Synthetics figures are examples for certain machines, not standard limits. The Samsung UK cycle guide, updated 6 July 2026, explains that cycle availability depends on the model and that timing and temperature can vary with the appliance and load weight.

Do not treat the display’s estimated duration as a guaranteed finish time. For context, Samsung’s guide gives examples of a 20 °C wash in a 9 kg machine usually lasting 3 hours 19 minutes and a 60 °C wash for a 9 kg load usually lasting 2 hours 25 minutes. These are Samsung examples, not predictions for every washer or cycle.
How do I use the detergent drawer compartments?
Open the drawer and follow the symbols or labels on your specific machine. Samsung describes standard drawer arrangements with compartments for main-wash detergent, fabric softener and prewash detergent. Put products only in the compartment identified for them; softener must stay below the drawer’s MAX line.

Samsung advises against putting detergent tablets or capsules in the drawer and says they can go in the drum instead. Follow the product maker’s dosing directions and do not exceed the marked limit. Automatic-dosing drawers may separate automatic liquid detergent and softener from a manual detergent compartment; the layout and settings vary, so use your model’s manual rather than assuming a button sequence. What are Bubble Soak and other special options?
Some Samsung washers offer Bubble Soak, which Samsung’s UK cycle guide says can add up to 30 minutes on listed programs. It is not available on every EcoBubble model. Check the manual and the control panel on your washer before choosing it. For any cycle decision, consider the fabric, soil level, cycle load limit, and the temperature and duration shown for that particular load.

How do I use Eco Drum Clean?
If your model includes Eco Drum Clean or Eco Drum Clean+, select that named maintenance cycle and follow the instructions in its manual. Samsung UK says to run the cycle with the drum empty and without ordinary laundry detergent or cleaning agents. The cycle’s name, availability and reminder behavior differ by model; do not substitute a regular wash or assume a reminder applies to every EcoBubble washer.
For applicable models, Samsung says the Eco Drum Clean+ reminder blinks once every 40 washes. That is model-specific guidance, not a universal interval. Samsung’s drum-cleaning guidance, updated 13 January 2025, also explains that panel designs and cleaning functions vary.

Why the model manual matters
- Cycle availability: Samsung does not list the same cycle set for every washer.
- Load limits: Wool, synthetics and other specialized cycles can accept less than the machine’s maximum capacity.
- Controls and drawers: Panel layouts, dispenser compartments and automatic-dosing settings vary.
- Time and temperature: These can depend on the model and the weight of the load, so use the display and manual for your machine.
- Maintenance: Drum-clean functions and their reminders are not universal.
