Henckels describes 18/10 stainless steel as a combination of 18% chromium and 10% nickel. That is the manufacturer’s material description, not independent evidence of long-term performance.
Which pattern fits your table?
Choose Madison Square for a clean, contemporary look
Its linear handle accents and dual mirror-satin finish make Madison Square the most restrained, modern-looking of these three examples. Henckels describes it as “A sophisticated design with linear accents and a beveled edge on each handle, Madison Square is sure to get noticed on the dining table.” See Henckels’ US collection for current pattern and size listings.
Choose Alcea for a subtle decorative detail
Alcea adds a bordered handle and decorative accent while keeping a bright polished mirror finish. It suits a table where you want some ornament without the more traditional character of Plaza.
#1 Best Overall
- SET INCLUDES: Twelve 5-piece place settings plus serving spoon, serving fork, slotted serving spoon, butter knife, and sugar spoon
- FINEST QUALITY: 18/10 Stainless Steel
- PRECISE CUTTING: Forged dinner knife blades for cutting precision

Consider Plaza for traditional styling
Plaza is the traditional option in this comparison, with a high-shine finish and a heavyweight specification. Its stock status is the main practical caveat: Henckels’ listing showed it out of stock at crawl time, while Costco also listed the set. A listing is not a guarantee that it is currently available.
