The Ultenic U16 Flex is a lightweight, bendable-wand cordless vacuum that independent reviewers found most convincing on hard floors and thin rugs. It is less compelling for homes with substantial carpet: reviewers reported weaker carpet pickup and found that carpet cleaning pushed them toward Turbo mode, where runtime drops sharply. Its advertised 60-minute maximum is not a reliable expectation for every cleaning job.
Is the Ultenic U16 Flex worth considering?
Consider it if your home is mostly hard flooring, you want a flexible wand for reaching under furniture, and you are shopping in the budget cordless category. TechRadar found hard-floor suction adequate, while Homes & Gardens reported good hard-floor performance in its test. Those results do not make it a strong all-carpet choice: Homes & Gardens saw visible mess left on carpets and rugs, and TechRadar said carpet cleaning called for Turbo mode.
The product page for the Ultenic U16 Flex lists a US price of $159.99, reduced from $219.99, as displayed on October 8, 2026. That is a time-sensitive listing, not a dependable ongoing price. Check the page for the current price and availability before buying.
How long does its battery last in use?
Ultenic advertises up to 60 minutes, but runtime varies with the selected mode and task. The independent tests below used different conditions, so they should be read as separate results rather than combined into a single expected runtime.

| Source and date | Reported runtime | Context |
|---|---|---|
| TechRadar, August 14, 2026 | 54 minutes | The reviewer’s measured runtime against Ultenic’s one-hour claim; the source does not specify a power mode for this figure. |
| Tom’s Guide, August 3, 2026 | Up to a full hour in Eco mode | Test report for Eco mode. |
| Tom’s Guide, August 3, 2026 | Just under 20 minutes in Turbo mode | Test report for Turbo mode. |
Ultenic’s US product page says, “Powered by 8 high-density lithium batteries, it ensures up to 60 minutes of uninterrupted cleaning, perfect for homes up to 200㎡.” Treat that as the manufacturer’s claim, not a guarantee for every home or setting. If your floors need frequent Turbo use, plan around the shorter Turbo result rather than the headline maximum.
How well does it clean different floors?
Hard floors and thin rugs
This is the U16 Flex’s best-supported use case. TechRadar found suction adequate on hard floors, and Homes & Gardens described good hard-floor performance. The available reviews also support thin rugs as a more suitable match than substantial carpet, though performance will depend on the debris and rug.

The 1.5L large dustbin means fewer interruptions for emptying, perfect for busy households
Carpet
Carpet is the clearest compromise. Homes & Gardens reported visible mess remaining on carpets and rugs during its testing. TechRadar found that carpet cleaning called for Turbo mode, which uses considerably more battery than Eco. The advertised 45 kPa suction and 550 W motor are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish carpet-cleaning results on their own.
Does it handle pet hair without tangling?
There is some encouraging, limited evidence: Homes & Gardens reported that the brushroll did not wrap with hair during its two-week test. Ultenic also describes the floor brush as tangle-resistant. That does not establish that hair will never wrap in other homes, with different hair lengths, quantities, or cleaning routines. If pet hair is a major concern, the review result is useful but not a guarantee.

Can it reach under sofas and beds?
The wand bends, letting the floor head angle under low furniture without requiring the user to crouch as much. Ultenic lists a flexible wand, and Tom’s Guide describes the vacuum as lightweight. The manufacturer lists a weight of 2.7 kg; Tom’s Guide gives 3.5 lb. These are source-specific figures, so they are presented as reported rather than reconciled into one measurement. Actual reach depends on furniture clearance and the angle available in your room.

How should you compare it with another cordless vacuum?
Compare the U16 Flex against alternatives using the factors that affect your own cleaning, rather than headline suction or maximum runtime alone:
- Floor mix: How much of your home is carpet versus hard flooring?
- Runtime by mode: Look for Eco and high-power results, not just the maximum claim.
- Weight and maneuverability: Consider stairs, overhead cleaning, and clearance under furniture.
- Dust capacity: The U16 Flex’s listed dust cup is 1 L.
- Hair handling: Look for evidence about brush-wrap performance and whether it matches your household.
- Ownership features: Tom’s Guide notes the U16 Flex lacks self-emptying; decide whether that matters to you.
- Price and availability: Verify the current listing and the exact model before comparing prices.
Shark Detect Pro, Dreame U20, and Levoit LVAC-200 have been mentioned as alternatives in review coverage, but the available information here does not establish a matched test comparison among those models.
