If your treadmill stopped working after a move, start with the safe external checks: turn it off, inspect the power cord, confirm the outlet and power switch, reseat the safety key, and clear the belt. Moving does not point to one universal fault, and the correct reset or calibration steps depend on the exact make and model. Stop if the cord is damaged, the switch trips again, or you notice an unusual smell or noise.
Make the treadmill safe before checking it
Turn the treadmill off before inspecting its cord or repositioning it. Check the accessible cord for visible damage and make sure it has not been trapped beneath the frame. Do not use the treadmill if the cord is damaged. Follow the owner’s manual for the correct outlet and any surge suppressor requirements; these can vary by model. Check the simple startup causes
Power connection and switch
Confirm that the cord is fully seated at the treadmill and outlet, then check that the frame’s power switch is on. A loose external connection is one possibility after moving, but the available manufacturer guidance does not establish a single typical cause for post-move failures.
Safety key and belt
Make sure the safety key is fully inserted in the console and that no object is blocking the belt. Horizon lists the safety key and a clear belt among basic operating checks for its 7.0 AT-03 treadmill family; follow your own model’s instructions if its key or startup process differs. If the treadmill will not turn on
If the power switch or reset breaker appears tripped, use the instructions for your exact treadmill. One model-specific ProForm manual says to wait five minutes before pressing the tripped switch back in and to check that the console key is inserted. That timing is not a universal rule for every treadmill. See the ProForm treadmill manual for the covered model.
If the switch trips again after a reset, stop using the treadmill. Repeatedly resetting it is not a safe troubleshooting strategy; contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician.

If the console works but the belt or incline does not
With the treadmill off, check that the belt is unobstructed and the safety key is seated. Then consult the owner’s manual for that model’s operating and troubleshooting steps. Do not remove the motor hood or disconnect internal wiring based on generic advice. Incline calibration procedures are model-specific: the cited ProForm manual describes one procedure, while Horizon provides instructions for its own treadmill family. Use only the procedure specified for your machine.

Stop using the treadmill and contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician if the cord is damaged, the switch trips again, you hear abnormal noise, smell something unusual, or the basic external checks do not resolve the problem. Have the treadmill’s exact make and model, any displayed error, and a description of what happens when you try to start it ready when contacting support. Check warranty terms before arranging repair.
